MORE INTRO TO BARN HUNT CLASSES!

The fabulous Rebecca Hoffman has offered to host an Intro to Barn Hunt class on June 7th at 2pm.

The sign up for this class goes live TOMORROW May 10th at 7pm. The last 2 classes filled within 3 hours. There are currently 11 people on those waitlist so set your alarms and be ready!

POWDER PHOTO SHOOTS
Sign ups for powder photoshoots with Alex go live tomorrow at 7pm as well! There are roughly 23 slots available between June 19th and 21st. Please sign each dog up for an individual slot. Late arrivals will not be allowed more time as it makes the whole day run late. Cost is $80 per dog and will be paid directly to Alex.

Hey.... you..... yes you!

You've gotta help us ratties out. The dogs have learned all of Lisa's hiding spots in the current straw maze. Us ratties just want some peace and quiet during our work where the dogs can't find us (for a couple minutes at least!) Can you help us?

Barn Hunt rebuild! Saturday May 9th starting at 10am. Have a strong back? Join us! Haven't done it before? That's okay, we'll show you! The more people, the faster it goes. Bring your friend, bring your partner, bring yourself, but leave the pups at home this time.

I SMELL A RAT INTRO CLASSES COMING SOON! 🐀

We have scheduled 2 intro sessions on June 6th at 12pm and 2pm. There are 6 slots in each class for a total of 12 slots available. This class is for dogs who have had none/minimal experience in BarnHunt and want to learn more. Once you have completed an intro class, you are welcome to sign up for open practices going forward.

We look forward to introducing more of you to the life of BarnHunt!

Sign ups will release on May 6th at 12pm. We expect these slots to fill fast, so set your alarms and be ready!

Well between doing the schedule late nights after work and my apparent fat thumbs that didn't hit save, it was never released!

Spring time at Sports Paws! 🌷🌴🐕

As we emerge from the dreary winter season and enjoy the sunny spring weather, there is lots to look forward to at Sports Paws!

There are lots of moving pieces as we look ahead to summer so we will be releasing only the May schedule for now. May schedules for Barn Hunt, Agility, and ACT events will release on April 15th at 12pm. As always, schedules fill up fast so set your alarms and be ready!

Agility Test Course 1&2
Come join us on May 16th at 10am as esteemed judge Brenda Peterson Veldink helps us host another round of ACT 1&2. This is a great beginner level course test to see how you and your dogs are shaping up as a trialing pair. All information is on the sign up releasing on April 15th.

Powder Photo Shoots
The long wait is finally over! For those that signed up last year for powder photo shoots we are finally scheduling again for Friday June 19th and Sunday June 21st. Between the two days we will have about 25 slots available with the majority being on Sunday. Cost will be $80 per dog and each session will last about 30 minutes. These slots will release in May so keep an eye on our Facebook and email list for more information.

We appreciate you all spending time with us, having fun with your dogs.

Anyone looking for intro to contacts and weave poles for agility? Class starts on Monday, March 23rd and will continue for 7 weeks (skipping April 20th). Class is from 6-7:30pm and costs $175 for the session.

This will introduce you and your dog to the Aframe, Dog Walk and Teeter at lowered heights, as well as weave poles using channel poles with wires and gates.

This class is appropriate for dogs over 1 year of age and for handlers with some agility experience. You can sign up at the link below

Dogs must be at least 9 months old at the start of class and comfortable working around people. This class will introduce the dog and handler to contacts (Aframe, dogwalk and teeter) and weave poles (channel poles with gates are used). Various jumps and tunnels may also be part of the weekly lesson....

Hello fellow dog sports lovers! While the recent weather may have you in a gloom, the good news is Agility and Barn Hunt schedules for March/April will go live February 25th at 12pm.

Sign ups are first come first serve and historically fill up quickly so if you want to guarantee a spot I would recommend setting an alarm as a reminder. These are on-going practices meaning they are meant for people and dogs who have completed the intro or foundations courses or have prior experience elsewhere.

Rain or shine, its always a good time to get outside and play with your dog! Links to sign-ups are below.

Barn build update...Friday night. What a day! Thank you to the best course builders! Annette Haley and John. They were here all afternoon moving bales out, removing loose straw and rebuilding the course. We will probablystill need some help tomorrow adding fluff to the course (although Jessica Butler is working the swing shift, fluffing as I type). Excited to hide for the dogs on Sunday. I am blessed to have such a great village to help me!
