❗️Attention pet owners! ❗️
As the weather heats up, remember that leaving your furry friend in the car can be dangerous and even deadly—temperatures can soar over 100°F inside a parked car, even with windows cracked. Heat stroke can happen quickly, so it’s safest to leave your pet at home or find a pet-friendly spot instead.
🚫Did you know that in some states, leaving your dog in a hot car is illegal?
🐶Always prioritize your pet’s safety and avoid risking their life for a quick errand!🐱

🐜 Fleas: Why They Keep Coming Back
Think one treatment kills fleas? Think again.
Here’s how to beat them—for good. 👇
🔄 Flea Life Cycle
    •    🥚 Eggs (50%) – Fall into carpets & furniture
    •    🐛 Larvae (35%) – Hide & feed on flea dirt
    •    🐚 Pupae (10%) – Can stay dormant for months
    •    🐜 Adults (5%) – Bite, breed, lay 50 eggs/day
⏳ Cycle = 2–3 weeks. Miss one stage? They’re back.

🔥 How to Get Rid of Fleas:
1    Treat your pet (vet-approved meds)
    2    Wash everything (hot water!)
    3    Vacuum daily
4    Use sprays with IGRs (kills eggs & larvae)
    5    Repeat in 2–3 weeks
💣 Don’t just kill fleas—break the cycle.

The Elizabethan collar (“cone”) is one of the most important parts of your pet’s recovery. Pets naturally want to lick, chew, or scratch at areas that are healing. While this is instinctive, it can be very harmful. Without the collar:
Incisions or wounds can reopen - delaying healing and possibly requiring additional surgery.
Infections can develop - saliva and bacteria introduced to the area can cause serious complications.
Stitches, drains, or bandages can be pulled out - which may mean your pet has to return for another procedure.
Eye or ear injuries can worsen quickly if scratched or rubbed.
By keeping the collar on at all times, you are protecting your pet from setbacks and helping ensure a smooth recovery.

A Respiratory PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) Panel is a powerful diagnostic tool that offers:
High Sensitivity & Specificity
This advanced test can detect even low levels of viral or bacterial pathogens in swab samples—typically collected from the nasal, pharyngeal, or conjunctival areas—making it an essential first step in identifying the cause of respiratory illness.
Comprehensive Pathogen Detection
Panels may include a wide range of respiratory agents. For dogs, this can include canine distemper virus, parainfluenza, adenovirus type 2, coronavirus, influenza (H3N8/H3N2), Bordetella bronchiseptica, Mycoplasma cynos, and Streptococcus zooepidemicus.
For cats, the panel often screens for agents such as feline herpesvirus, calicivirus, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Chlamydophila felis, and Mycoplasma species.
