"Training the owners" is a common saying and it is really a huge part of what I do. I work to help people read their dogs body language, how to react accordingly, and the best way to push the boundaries of their dogs behavior while still getting a positive outcome. This is different with every dog and every person and it keeps it very exciting. I have worked individually with all my clients in the photos building these skills, then we can all come together as a group and be on the same page. Most of these owners contacted me because they wanted to feel more comfortable taking their dogs into a social setting. I don't think anyone would guess that from the photos as everyone looks relaxed to me! @ Ventura County, California

"Training the owners" is a common saying and it is really a huge part of what I do. Ready? Set? Sprint into my knee! I am not sure if it is a general pit bull thing but they don't seem to have the best spacial awareness. I cant count the amount of times I've seen pits crash into things.

Can you believe Clyde the cute doodle mix was being used a junk yard guard dog? Poor guy was abandoned and left to fend for himself by himself. Luckily Bonnie rescued him and is determined to give him a good life. We've worked on thoroughly socializing him with other dogs, people, and integrating him into the family (which includes a guinea pig). Bonnie and Clyde are a great match for each-other!

The first photo is from our first meeting and the second photo is after a few weeks in a caring home. The way he carries himself has completely changed and he continues to become more of a social butterfly every-time I see him!

We are teaching Daisy the goldendoodle pup to have good social skills with a wide variety of dog personalities. My dogs are very helpful with teaching personal boundaries in the nicest way possible while still getting the message across. Next is finding her some dogs her own age and learning how to PLAAY

"We have been going through some dog training with Bentley. Bentley is very protective of the girls in our house. To the point he will attack other dogs for even moving around them. We were recommended to check out Tyler and he has been the help we need. He was always great with Bentley and understanding what triggered Bentley. He would even notice before Bentley did some times. We have been seeing Tyler for a couple months now. He is always very flexible with our busy schedules and has even came to our house to help lay down some very needed ground rules. Bentley still protects my girls, but now he does it without aggression. We can’t thank him enough for the time he has put into helping us."

One thing all these dogs have in common is a very large personality!

We are working on our dog social skills with our very diverse group. A little extra practice handling your dog in a busy social setting is the best way to spend an afternoon (in my opinion at least, ha!)
