What an honor it was to be invited to be part of the Taste of this year!

Being surrounded by so many incredibly talented vendors and some of the best in the event industry was such a special experience for us.

The gorgeous, lush grass at Bowing Oaks was off limits and of course you know thats where our little buddies wanted to go...so we had to keep the donks kind of in one spot — but we still had the best time! The boys were absolute gentlemen and enjoyed seeing everyone!

Even from our little spot, we had the best time meeting new people, catching up with familiar faces, and chatting with so many amazing professionals in the industry.

A huge thank you to Paige with .events for the incredible coordination of this event! Everything was so thoughtfully done, and we were truly grateful to be included.

A little re-introduction and about me for all the new faces around here!

Hi, I’m Terrie — owner of B***o Buddies, Registered Nurse, lifelong animal lover, professional donkey decorator, and the person behind the messages, planning, custom décor and most crazy ideas you see around here.

Before B***o Buddies, healthcare was my world. I’ve worked in healthcare for over 20 years and have been an RN for almost 15. I’ve worked in clinics, inpatient post-op care, open-heart recovery in the CVICU and eventually the ortho trauma operating room.

I worked hard, kept pushing myself and reached what felt like the top of nursing I had set out to achieve. I’m incredibly proud of that career and everything it taught me.

But eventually I started asking myself...what's next?!

I wanted something different. Something that combined my love for animals, people and creating experiences that make people genuinely happy.

One day that little thought became an idea.

And apparently it was… bringing the miniature donkeys I love so much to parties.

Because of this, I'm not your typical “business owner.” I can be awkward. Sometimes I have a whole thought in my head and absolutely no idea how to put it into words. Putting myself out there, networking and being the face of a business definitely doesn’t always come naturally to me.

But what DOES come naturally is how deeply I care about this little business and my donkeys.

I care about my animals. I care about their happiness and giving them a job they genuinely enjoy. I care about the people who trust us to be part of their special moments. And I care about creating an experience that makes people stop, smile, laugh and connect.

B***o Buddies has pushed me outside my comfort zone in ways I never expected. It’s taught me to trust my ideas, trust my animals and, most importantly, trust myself.

So if you’re new here, welcome! I’m Terrie — nurse, business owner, animal lover, slightly awkward human 😂 and the person who decided miniature donkeys absolutely belong at weddings!

Meet Peppers — the newest B***o Buddy!

We’re so excited to introduce the newest little face in our herd!

Peppers is a 9-year-old, 32-inch miniature donkey with the sweetest personality and the prettiest sorrel coloring—a beautiful reddish shade.

Peppers came to us from a home where he was clearly very loved, and it shows. He absolutely LOVES people and is already soaking up all the attention around here.

This little clip is from his very first training session with us, and let me tell you… he is an absolute STAR! He was curious, willing, and seemed pretty happy to be part of whatever we were doing.

Right now, we’re giving him plenty of time to settle in, get to know his new donkey family, and learn what being a B***o Buddy is all about—but soon you will start to see him out and about!!!

Sometimes I look at them and think… how did these little donkeys become such a big part of my story?

What started as just an idea turned into something I never thought I could do. Start a business off an idea I had one day sitting on my back porch wanting to do something more.

I now call that moment my pivot point.

They’ve brought smiles to events, gotten complete strangers talking, created some pretty unforgettable moments—and somewhere along the way, they changed me. They changed me into this person who lights up when they are around and when I see the joy thry bring to others.

They pushed me outside my comfort zone, forced me to put my trust in them and myself, helped me build something of my own. They absolutely love having a job and the new adventures they go on together.

I definitely never thought, "One day I'll own a business, and I definitely never thought, "One day I'll own a business where mini donkeys crash weddings", yet here I am.

Thanks for being here, cheering us on and supporting my little amazing herd!

Somewhere along the way, these two became so much more than just mini donkeys.

Petey & Pickles have become the little faces—and hearts—behind so many smiles, laughs, conversations, memories, and of course…those “OH MY GOSH, THERE ARE DONKEYS!” moments.

They show up dressed for the occasion, ready for photos, snuggles, and—depending on the experience you choose—carrying your favorite drinks for your guests.

But what they really do is create a moment.

They’re instant conversation starters. When guests don’t know each other yet, suddenly everyone has something to talk about. They get people mingling, laughing, taking pictures together, and connecting without even trying.

And coming to the wedding solo? Don’t worry—Petey or Pickles will happily be your plus one.

They’re the kind of unexpected detail that brings people together and creates memories your guests will still be talking about long after the wedding is over.

Because your wedding deserves more than beautiful details—it deserves those little unexpected moments that make the day feel completely yours.

Photographers — let’s create some holiday magic!

B***o Buddies Fl is looking to partner with a photographer to offer Christmas Mini Sessions with our miniature donkeys this holiday season!

We’re open to different location ideas and can travel anywhere if you have ideas to help create the perfect setup. Our donkeys are experienced, friendly, and comfortable around people, families, kids, cameras, and new environments — this is what they do!

We’d love to connect with a photographer who is comfortable photographing animals and families, and has experience with mini sessions.

We’re looking for this to be a true collaboration where we can work together on the setup, planning, and promotion to create something fun, festive, and unique for families this Christmas season!
