Are you thinking of selling coral frags? Well the good news is I did it and it was fun, made some money and nice equipment paid for. That was like few years back. It does take money to buy and sell coral but I did it with a couple of tanks. Just have to flip fast. Yes Facebook made it easier.
The thing that was kinda hard was shipping. But then it was ok and maybe 1 out 10 packages would get screwed up. Now a days it seems like there is delays everyday. Good luck to the ones making it happen because it’s not easy.
I still love my tank and love my corals and fish but dealing corals was fun and you meet a lot of people.
One thing I would do differently would be to have a bigger grow out tank. And take it slower but man it was addicting. I sold so hella nice coral to people that got great deals on. Let me know on here if you have any alive still it would be great to hear or see.

Tips on removing green hair algae.
My opinion and what worked for me.
I have 110 gallons of water volume.
1) get a dual reactor and run GFO and carbon. Change out monthly
2) a good skimmer
3) weekly water change. I do 15 gallons
4) vacuum sand bed when you do water change! You will be amazed what comes out and will keep your sand white.
5) toothbrush. Before water change brush rocks and try to remove it.
6) clean sump if needed
7) turn back light schedule to be on only 6hrs
8 ) your phosphates will lower every week and you will see where you brushed off rocks it’s not growing back. 9) Be patient. It takes like a month it don’t happen quickly. The routine is what will keep it away and keep your water levels good. That is what I learned.
These are just a few tips to help. I probably could keep writing until I had a chapter book. But keep it simple and if you need any help please ask I will do everything I can to help. Here is picture of my tank. It at one time was covered in hair algae.

I bought new Pentair UV for my Black Friday buy. I was planning on running it on a pump with a closed loop in the display. (Idea came from Brs when testing them) I will use blue pipe to match.
Anyone else have ideas or have been using one to give me some advice. Couple acros doing well in the tank!
