Call on your city to make changes. We had a special needs client surrender ownership of a pet to a friend. That friend boarded the dog until he could find it a new home. The lady picked up the dog took it home changed her mind and tried to return it to the clinic. It's not our dog it had simply boarded there. She then abandoned the dog. The officers at the City Animal Control tried to press charges but local DA won't take the case because the dog was left at an animal facility. Reality check. We are NOT an animal shelter. We are NOT a state funded clinic. It is private property. Abandoning a dog at the clinic should face the same penalty as abandoning it anywhere else. Absolutely ridiculous. How can our City Animal Control officer make change if the DA won't allow him to do his job.

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month. Animals often mask their pain making if more difficult to recognize. We encourage all pet owners especially those with senior pets (greater than 7 years of age) to call the office and schedule a consult. This will allow us to examine your pet and discuss ways to recognize the initial signs and offer ways to alleviate discomfort. 706-624-3993
