It took a lot of looking and research for us, Kathy and Carol, to decide on which type of Goldendoodle we wanted to breed. We finally decided to go for two different types of Standard females and a Standard White English Teddy Bear Goldendoodle male to breed them to. This meant making several trips to Ohio to find the perfect male, but it was worth it. Our first female was Lady Marley, a Standard
Cream Goldendoodle out of a blue Goldendoodle and by a white Poodle. Marley’s littermates were all colors of white and cream with some black ones mixed in. This makes Marley a F1B Goldendoodle with 75% Poodle bloodlines. Her offspring will be F2B and have 62.5% Poodle bloodlines. Her puppies will have very little to no shedding and will be great for people with allergies. We expect the puppies from Marley and Simon to weigh between 55 and 80 pounds. Our second female was Lady Lila Mae of Sherbrooke, a Standard Black Goldendoodle with white markings on her chest. Lila is out of a black non-fading Poodle by a medium gold Golden Retriever. All of the puppies in this litter were black but did not carry the non-fading gene as it was passed on by only one parent. We picked Lila because she had the best conformation in the litter and was one of the most loving ones. Lila is a F1 Goldendoodle and her puppies will be F2 Goldendoodles with 50% poodle bloodlines and 50% Golden Retriever bloodlines. Both Lila and Simon shed small amounts of their undercoats when being brushed, especially in the Spring. We expect the puppies from Lila and Simon to weigh between 65 and 80 pounds. After two trips to Ohio and many trips around Colorado we found Sir Simon of Sherbrooke in Ohio. Simon’s sire was a 81 pound white Poodle and his dam was a imported white English Teddy Bear Golden Retriever. After seeing all of the puppies in their 2014 litter (which were spoken for), we reserved the first choice male in the next litter. On the third trip to Ohio, we brought Simon back to Colorado to live with his girls. Simon inherited the size and substance of his father and at this time he matches his weight and size. All three of our wonderful Goldendoodles are ambassadors of the breed. They make friends wherever they go and show people that although they are large dogs, they have kindness in their hearts. They all have smaller breed friends and they adjust their playing so that the smaller dogs are not afraid in any way. They all are used to being around children. Marley and Lila will be having their first litters in the Spring of 2017. Simon is available for breeding to approved females.
