We are REALLY in need of an RV we can affordably rent for 1-2 months. If you know of anyone, please let us know.
Also looking for someone who would be willing/ able to foster our 4 pigs. I female Mangalica, 1 male kune kune and 2 mixed.
*** UPDATE ***
I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all the people who have so generously contacted us to help! In less than 24 hours I received over 100 messages.
Fortunately, we have found a short term solution, thanks to one amazing local family!
Luckily, we get to keep a lot of our amazing animals❣️ We will be rehoming a few, and I will be posting them within the next 24 hours. Please keep an eye on our FB Page for their info, and to follow us on our journey.
We still really need help with a few things. If you know anyone, please pass our message on. Thank you!!!
- We really need an RV w/ a generator that we could affordably rent for a short time.
- Boxes (in or near Calhan area)
- Help transporting our animals
I tried to respond to all, but I apologize to those I have not gotten to yet.
We are in a seemingly impossible situation, and really need some help! Praying this post will be seen by someone that can help! It’s really hard for me to share our personal situation so publicly, but we are in a serious crisis, and I don’t know what else to do.
We are currently leasing a large ranch. It was supposed to be a lease to own situation, however the property was just sold to someone else and we have until the end of the month to find a new home and get moved. We have a lot of animals (cattle, horses, alpacas, goats, sheep, and pigs). So we have to do the impossible and find another property that will accommodate our large family, and get moved in less than 2 weeks. We have been looking so hard, but just as many others have shared… there is very little available, and absolutely nothing that will allow us to bring our animals.
Many have recommended rehoming all of the animals. Maybe that’s what we will have to do, but it would be devastating for us to lose what we have literally worked so hard for. We love every single one of our animals like they were our children. We have put everything into building our ranch, and we were just in the process of starting a non-profit to help rescue livestock animals that need a new safe home.
I know it’s a long shot, but if anyone knows of a property that’s available, or knows of someone that is selling an appropriate property that would consider leasing or a lease-to-own, please let us know! We love Calhan, but are open to any area in Colorado, and Nebraska.
