To those of you that enjoy - or would like to enjoy - taking your dog to Centennial Dog Park in Caldwell, we need your help.

The park has gone mostly unfunded since it opened. Mike Pollard, a Caldwell city councilman, is trying to keep funding in the 2020-2021 budget. We need your support to make this happen. Please contact the Mayor of Caldwell along with your city council representatives and let them know we need some funding for at least some simple amenities!

We need water for dogs to drink immediately! We need some benches and a covered shelter or two would be nice. Please let your representatives know this is important to our community! Thank you!

I have it on good authority that the water lines have been run to the dog park! We are now just waiting for the fountain hardware to arrive!

Update!
The small dog area at the dog park is now open to all dogs, including a picnic table to sit at. Fences should hopefully be fixed and up by winter! Thank you to the City of Caldwell and Mayor Nancolas for working so hard to get Centennial Dog Park back open after the flooding!

Update on the conditions at the Dog Park. Sources tell me that the damage is so extensive that the Park may not be able to re-open till next spring. If you are so inclined, feel free to contact your Caldwell City Counci to let them know that you think this should be priority for the city to get the repairs done and make it available once again for our furry friends.

Edit: Apparently the paper got it wrong. The date will be closer to the first of August! Only a couple of weeks until...
