Today’s training, 4 water marks ran as singles with a steep bank to make it interesting. The blind I ran from the road between the 2 waters and will build the full blind by making it a pattern blind. Running the full blind I think would be a little much for Dagger because what will become the second water entry is an area where you loose sight of your dog for about 10 yards. And the are a lot of factors at that entry point. Sometimes with a young dog building it is the best way.

Today’s training, the Eric Fryer blind drill. Run the mark. Then run the blinds under the arc, thru the old fall, back side of the gun and outside the the mark. Dogs did well.

Another day of cheating single. This drill is very time consuming if you haven’t done it. Then run the 2 blinds. Blind 2 had a good cross wind which made the water portion a little challenging. But the dogs worked through it.

If you haven’t done this before it is a repeat drill. If you deviate the factors (water today) you get sat, get a correction than cast back to the line for the mark. If the dog receives a correction it will be repeated until ran correctly.

Today we worked on cheating singles. The dogs actually did really good and figured it out after the first correction. Tomorrow we are gunna try the other side and see if they learned anything.

Then we ran 2 “no see um” blinds. Once the dogs hit the water, you can’t see them at all till they come out. The dogs whooped ass on this 👌

Today training. Run the blind first, get out of the water run the line on the shore and get back in. Dagger did ok, but need run that one again. Then dig em out of the sawgrass singles. He did great on that.

Haven’t posted any training in a while. After the HRC test and making sure Dagger remembers 3 we have started a little head swinging. Not bad but still needs to be addressed. So back to singles. 4 KRD singles and 2 blinds

This is way cool. Don caught this one. Last year all these pups ran our local started test and passed. This year they all ran our local test in finished and all but 1 made it through. Good breedings, good training programs and putting in the work pay off.

This is a pretty cool pic of our started line up. Left to right Paige, Dagger, Sissy and Pi. They are all related and all passing. Paige’s father is Solo. Dagger, Sissy and Pi are grandchildren of Solo and children of Pliny.
