Bella is a big, well-built BLM mustang mare who has been off the range and handled consistently since she was a weanling. She's about as "been-there, done-that" as a five year old horse can be. Her three months of professional training shine in the arena. She'll pick up canter leads, sidepass, turn on forequarters and hindquarters, open & close gates mounted, sidle up to a mounting block, jump, and tackle trail-challenge obstacles. She has been in a parade, to all kinds of local shows, on a cattle drive, and modeled for kids' horsemanship clinics. She has been ridden both English and Western, with a snaffle and curb, and on trails. She catches, ties, bathes, clips, fly sprays, picks up feet, tacks up, and trailer loads easily.
Bella has a steady personality without excessive spook or bad habits. Her only weakness is inexperience going out on the trail alone (she can get balky or pretend-spooky), but she's improving rapidly and will come around fine with more work. She's pretty comfortable trail riding with a buddy. She's not quite a beginner's horse because she needs someone who can redirect her occasional attempts to call the shots, but an intermediate on up should do fine with her.
Bella is the kind of horse that will hold up to years of work. She has lots of bone, straight legs, good feet, balanced conformation, stands a solid 15.2, and is a very easy keeper. She's up to date on routine health care including dental, deworming, vaccinations, and hooves. I'm only selling because my other horses and activities keep me too busy to give her the career she deserves.
