Had to say goodbye to this sweet girl last week due to kidney failure. Her name was Lucky and I was very lucky to see her 5 days a week and get all of her love! She is very missed! Rest easy girl!

I love that Midori is starting to trust me a little bit. Its been a couple years of me pet sitting him and his sisters a couple times a year and he is getting where he likes coming out to watch me. I still can't touch him and that's OK because I will sit here on the floor and talk to him as long as he lets me! He is a handsome skiddish boy.

Yesterday my family had to say goodbye to our favorite kitty, Ares. We got him 7 years ago from the Lawton Humane Society right after he had healed from his amputee surgery. Ares only had 3 legs because he had an owner for 3 years that decided he wasnt worth moving with and since the neighbor’s didnt want him, they threw him out of their moving Uhaul, ran him over, and left him for dead. The neighborhood and Humane Society volunteers worked for months to capture him and when he was finally caught, his leg had to be amputated to save his life.
Even after everything he had been through, Ares was the absolute sweetest and calmest cat I have ever interacted with! He forced his love on you, never met a stranger, and was the perfect cat to help our foster dogs learn how to interact with feline companions nicely.
We named him Ares because that is the Greek God of war and courage and he had been through war and came out the other side stronger and more courageous! Ares will be very missed!
