โ๏ธ๐ Summer is almost here, and this is your annual reminder: NEVER leave children or pets in a parked vehicle. Not "just for a minute." Not with the windows cracked. Not even on a mild day.
A parked car can become deadly shockingly fast. The temperature inside can rise around 20ยฐF in just 10 minutes, even when it doesn't feel that hot outside.
Every year, dozens of children die from heatstroke after being left in vehicles, and countless pets suffer the same heartbreaking fate. These tragedies are preventable.
Before you lock your car:
๐ฅ Check the back seat.
๐ฅ Put your purse, phone, or work badge beside your child or pet as a reminder.
๐ฅ Lock your vehicle when parked so curious little ones can't climb inside.
๐ฅ If you see a child or animal alone in a hot car, call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. Minutes matter.
Our babies trust us with their whole hearts. Let's make sure they all make it home safely this summer.
Keep them hydrated. Protect those paws from hot pavement. And when you get out of the car, make sure every precious little passenger comes inside with us.
