Here’s an update on Rocky from his new owner.

Rocky is doing great!! We are working it through with Zeus. But. with time we believe they will work things out.

We are able to take him out off leash now and throw the ball and Frisbee and he loves it. Rocky is a such a joy to have.🫠

The adopter of River wrote us an update:

Hello! I just wanted to give you an update on River! We adopted her a little over a week ago now, and we absolutely love her. She is doing amazing! She is coming out of her shell and loves being spoiled. She does have moments of uncertainty, but they are becoming more rare. She loves her walks, play time, and napping on the couch lol. She sleeps all night in her crate and never makes a sound. She hasn't had any accidents in the house either! She loves kids! I am starting to get tail wags! She loves her toys and loves to sleep next to me on the couch in the evenings. She fits into our lives perfectly! Thank you so much for letting us adopt her! I'll keep you posted on her progress!

We again received a No Kill plaque for maintaining a no kill status for all of 2024.

This is a huge achievement for a shelter especially in these hard times where dogs are constantly running stray and/or dumped on back county roads.

The shelter has dealt with large numbers for a while now with no end in sight.

We applaud the Animal Control Officer John, the Office Manager Taryn, and our volunteers for taking care of these dogs to give them the love and attention they so desperately deserve.

Thank you Pendleton County Animal Shelter!

Please get your tissues ready because this is a sad state of affairs for these babies. They didn’t deserve this.

You will notice we’ve had to double up and at times triple up the dogs due to no space.

The last dog in the video is in our utility room.

Please people quit dumping them as they have feelings and you’ll note a few too scared to come to the front of the kennel.

We’re heartbroken for these sweet souls.

We have dogs who desperately need to be out of the shelter and in homes.

**June is still half off adoption fees.**

πŸ†˜Come on people we cannot sustain these numbers as we have taken in so many dumped dogs it’s overwhelming for the shelter. We don’t want to make tough decisions but we cannot sustain these numbers. πŸ†˜

We’ve doubled up dogs in kennels and have them in areas which are not ideal as we’ve run out of kennels.

Please help us reduce these numbers so we don’t have to make choices for the unfair situation these babies were put in.

REFLECTIVE ADDRESS SIGN FUNDRAISER!

The Humane Society of Northern Kentucky Inc is holding a fundraiser that will benefit homeowners, emergency responders and the new Pendleton County (KY) Animal Shelter located at 1300 Ed Monroe Rd.

The Humane Society of Northern Kentucky Inc is hoping to help residents better mark their address so emergency personnel can more easily find them in the event of an emergency.

They will be offering signs that have a green background with white reflective numbers. The signs are aluminum and measure 18β€³ X 6β€³ with rounded corners. The cost is $20.00.

All proceeds go to the new Pendleton County (KY) Animal Shelter located at 1300 Ed Monroe Rd.

https://humanesocietynky.org/addressing-signs/

You will be contacted when the sign is completed to arrange pickup.

It is easy to donate more to the shelter on the Addressing Sign order page if you so choose!;)
