This is my PSA for all my pet parents to get insurance!!!!!!!

On Wednesday Sebastian woke up with his eye like this!😖 After taking him to the emergency vet. (our normal vet had no availability.) we found out he had Horner’s Syndrome. Horner’s syndrome is a neurological issue & can happen due to many reasons, and sometimes for really no reason at all. Some underlying conditions that cause this are tumors, cancer, infectious disease, trauma etc. Symptoms are sunken eye, larger pupil, and dog’s third eyelid, pronounced and covering part of the eye. Since Sebastian is almost 13, I immediately called Red Bank Animal Hospital to set him up for bloodwork, x-rays, and an MRI. He stayed overnight last night & thank god they did not find anything of concern. They will be doing a few more blood tests on him this morning. However, my point of this post is I’ll be spending closer to 2000 out-of-pocket instead of the over $7000 bill I received. Get your pets the insurance it is so worth it!!!!!!!!🐾♥️
