Heading off to the D4K Youth Dressage Festival is always a grand adventure and this year was no exception. The heat, the bugs, the highs and the lows: we had it all. The biggest high to rave about is our team's 3rd year in a row overall Champion win. (Bella Perkins, Priya Roopnarine, Petra Sederstrom and Veronica Sanbor) But that's not all. Bella also came home overall Grand Champion with our newly crowned pony rock star -High Tide. A 97% on the written, with a 75.152% (wooza!) dressage test, plus a win in Equitation cemented Bella's GOLD MEDAL title. We would be remise if it wasn't noted that Bella also won the stable management award for a record 4th year in a row. A testament that not only is she a talented and highly skilled rider, but Bella is extremely knowledgable in all aspects of horse health and care. Congrats to these guys who are champions in every way, both in and out of the arena.

For more years than we can count this farm has enjoyed a close working relationship with Dressage4Kids (D4K). The incredible organization was started more than 25 years ago by two-time Olympian Lendon Gray to help build the equestrian sport from the grass-roots to the world-class podium. We just finished another full weekend D4K TEAM Clinic and are so grateful to Lendon and her outstanding teaching. Regardless of level of horse or rider she helps everyone rise to a new standard. Hard? Yes! Worth it? Beyond a doubt. True riders, that have a solid foundation to climb to the highest levels, are being built right here and we couldn't be more proud. Thanks to all who participated and to those who helped pull it together.

As they say, better late than never- yes, we had our umpteenth annual Mother's Day Dressage Show and it's time to give a big shout out to Cayce Miller and High Tide (Ty) for high score of the day. This pony is fancy as heck but trends toward the punk side of things with random bucks, bolts and stops. Bright competitive future for this team!
Seems like everyone had plenty of spring inspired energy for the day and it sure was a great way to kick off the new show season.
Once again, a thanks to all who came out and supported our friendly, low-key event and a huge thanks to the volunteers who helped make it happen.

Get ready for a walk down memory lane: March 29, 1996, Riding Right Farm began. 30 years ago! It started with 8 stalls, 3 horses, a long/narrow indoor arena, a falling down outdoor arena and the naive dream of providing a place to bring horses and people together.
Now with 30 stalls, a dressage sized indoor arena, and countless other upgrades, replacements and repairs this farm has been a test of survival. It's also been a place of amazing memories, incredible horses and most importantly, the people who love connecting with the thrilling experience of being on a horse.
There are thousands of photographs that document the hundreds of riders and horses that have come to know the farm. The posted photos are but a handful and can hardly do justice to the 10,950 days that stalls have been cleaned (literally), horses have been fed and watered and riders who have swung their leg over a horse. We've had plenty of "remember that time..." and since the door is still open it seems like we'll have a few more memories to make. Thanks to all who have been a part of this. It's been quite a ride.

We've got some riders at this farm who proved today that it takes more than a brutal winter to keep them out of the saddle. It was our first clinic of the year and our committed riders were shining examples that learning never stops. Huge improvements from last fall to this spring for everyone. Clinician Allie King is non-stop energy and gives solid attention to what's important. So nice to see great riding and happy horses.
