Ready to show off all the progress you've made with your horse this winter? Or maybe just clear away some cobwebs to kick-start your spring riding? Our Spring Dressage Show is set for May 4th. We're making it a pre-Mother's Day show to leave Mother's Day Open for a local rated show. Same low-key atmosphere as always-just a week earlier. Spring has sprung at Riding Right Farm. We kicked off the new season with a clinic that featured probably the most enthusiastic, physically active clinician we've ever had. Did Allison King sit down in a chair even once? Okay, maybe to eat lunch (not even sure that's true). Allison brought get ideas, innovative approaches and so many positive vibes to our full day. What a way to welcome the season!

A great day of rides for our Fall Dressage Show. Couldn't ask for better weather! A big shout out to Helena McGowan and her super pony Brady hitting a 73% for high score champ of the day. And a tremendous thanks to all the volunteers who helped pull the day together. Show season 2024 is done!

What makes a rider a "good rider?" Fair to say that Ciara Wardwell, a 14 year old, is learning it first hand. Ciara made it to Regional Championships and put in a high quality test in her First Level Championship ride. No small feat considering this pony didn't leg yield at the start of 2024 and fell to pieces in the canter bending line. A testament to hard work and training by the old saying "the fastest way to train a horse is slowly." Couldn't be more proud of this team!

One look at this kid's face and you know how she feels about her big ride today! It seems like a broken record, but we've got some steady wins going on from this farm. Today at HITS in Saugerties Ciara Wardwell and her pony Phoenix grabbed another qualifying score for Regional Championships at First level. This power house team decided to jump up to first level this year with the goal of making it to Regionals. It wasn't easy, with plenty of scores that didn't make the cut. But today that blue ribbon and a 65% did the trick. Super proud of these guys and all the hard work they've done.

A few more pics from the big weekend at the D4K Youth Dressage Festival. So proud of these kids and their horses. The ribbons make it look easy, but there were countless challenges and difficulties to overcome. Can't say enough about their team spirit, cooperation, and of course-family support. Makes all the hard work worth it!

The farm's Youth Dressage Team just returned from the annual D4k Youth Dressage Festival and Tropical storm Debby couldn't keep this team down. Yes-we are still drying out, but so thrilled to report that we took top honors winning the overall team competition again! (Julia Houser, Bella Perkins, Valentina Culnan and Antonia Hansmeyer) Plus, our two other teams made it into the ribbons. Individually, Bella Perkins, Valentina Culnan and Helena McGowan all won their divisions. Bella also won the Horse Management award for the second year in a row! Hundreds of pictures taken- enjoy a few here of these fabulous riders.

We are so sad that today was the final USDF/USEF Dressage show for Stockade but we finished their show with a bang. We came away with not one but TWO high score champion awards. Ciara Wardwell and Phoenix had the high score junior rider and grabbed a qualifying score for regional championships at first level. Bella Perkins and Wow Factor (Wonder) had a Wow kinda day by breaking the 70% mark and getting high score adult rider. It should be added that this was Wonder's first recognized dressage show. And Maya Ryan and her stunning youngster Dean had a great day getting two blues and perfect behavior! It truly was a day of Wows!
Thank you again Stan and Anita for providing such a beautiful place for us to enjoy what we love to do.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Mica Mabragana to the farm for a D4K TEAM clinic this weekend. Mica comes with a huge resume of riding accomplishments, including representing Argentina in the 2023 Pam Am Games and boy did she bring it for our youth riders. A wonderful weekend of learning and taking on new challenges. Thank you Mica and Dressage4Kids.

A Big weekend for some folks here at the farm. Bella Perkins continues her winning ways with her amazing, but sometimes spicy mount Rhapsody by nailing her second qualifying score for Regional Championships at Third Level. Congrats Bella! Levi showed that he loves the show ring with some great rides at Fourth Level -Test 3 (65%)! Ciara Wardwell and her not-so-easy pony Phoenix keeps climbing the numbers at First Level. And our new to the dressage ring- Helena McGowan -brought home two blues with great scores at Intro. Great way to start the summer show season. And it is so important to thank Stan Horton and Anita Jaffe and all the awesome people at Stockade Polo and Saddle Club for making this show possible. We are truly lucky to have this top-notch show facility in our backyard.

Hope y'all had a great Mother's Day because we sure did. Our annual Dressage Schooling Show was a great experience for getting the young and new into the show ring and for dusting off some winter cobwebs for the more seasoned teams. A big shout out to all the volunteers who helped pull this together. It takes a team!

Day One of our 3-day clinic with clinican extraordinaire Janine Little saw horses of every size,color, breed, and level of training. Janine really knows how to identify the missing pieces and bring it all together. Can’t wait for the next two days

We are gearing up for the Spring with a new clinic added to our schedule. FEI competitor and seasoned coach Janine Little will be joining us for a two-day clinic on April 27&28. Internationally trained, with a long track-record of success in the show ring, Janine has developed many horses and riders from the basics through the FEI Levels. Janine is known for her ability to help riders of all levels with an uncompromising focus on correct basics (something we love!).
