Today is a sad sad day😢 Our oldest Black American Serama hen has passed away. She was roughly 7-8 years old and still gave me an egg everyday. Unfortunately yesterday she had become egg bound with an egg that had ruptured😭 I did everything possible. Epsom salt bath, antibiotics, gentle massages to help coax it out- but unfortunately it was not enough and she passed away late last night😢

This hen had won me a lot of ribbons in her younger years as well is either the grandma, aunt, cousin, great grandma to almost every single BBS serama chick,growout that anyone has gotten from me. Her original breeder was Serama from the Cloud and he retired a long long time ago. I honestly do not think there is another serama left of that bloodline now as I had quite a few of them here & she was my last one. I originally got her at 1.5-2 years old in 2021 or 2022. She will be missed.💔

We finally got the video of unboxing our Maticoopx 30 parts from Abshear Hen Haven !!

Absolutely love the color! The texture too! I always imagined 3D printed items would be brittle but it honestly feels super sturdy!
I absolutely love that the egg stands hold 2 different size eggs! Super excited to try the smaller egg holders for our serama eggs as well as unfortunately the stock turners in the maticoopx are a bit too big for the serama eggs.
Once the current eggs are done hatching & I can do a quick clean of the incubator I will end up doing another video of setting it up with all these wonderful parts!

I was also feeling like I wouldn’t know how to put these all together for the incubator but thankfully Abshear Hen Haven added instructions for all the parts! Super glad for those as I would have looked like a fool trying to put it all together without them🤣

Also I really need to invest in one of those phone stands/tripods for better unboxing videos as I am currently doing so 1 handed. Feel free to put suggestions or what you use in the comments🫣

With our seramas (and a couple other breeds) starting to lay better and our shipping boxes arriving this week we will be able to start taking egg orders soon!

Right now we want to do fertility checks in all our pens before offering eggs- but if there are any eggs/breeds you are interested in possibly hatching send us a pm or leave a comment below & we will get back to you!

We are also currently working on catching up on messages- so if we are not ignoring you- we just have a lot of messages to go through currently since we have been basically MIA for a couple of days🫣
