Splendor Farms is a charming 75-acre Louisiana farm located 1/2 mile from the scenic Bogue Chitto River with riding access to 300 acres. Only an hour from the New Orleans airport and the famous French Quarter, Splendor Farms is convenient to Interstates 10, 12, 55, & 59. Splendor Farms has plenty to offer nature and animal lovers and busy city folks looking for a place "to get away from it all." W

e can accommodate you, your pets (see our pet policy), and your children whether you're looking for a place to spend the night, a weekend, a week, or even if you're traveling between horse or dog shows and want to break up your trip. Besides bed & breakfast accommodations, we offer HORSEBACK RIDING & LESSONS, heated saltwater swimming pool and jacuzzi, hiking, fishing, and nearby picnics at the river, canoeing, tubing, and more. Spend some time away from your hectic life visiting with adorable long-haired miniature dachshunds, goats, chickens, horses, rabbits, burros, and cats. You can gather your own eggs and pick veggies from the garden or just do nothing at all! We also offer lawn games, such as horseshoes, volleyball, and bocce, or find a good book and lay in a hammock. Make memories at the farm!

NOW HIRING: Barn Manager / Trail Guide / Riding Instructor

We’re looking for a hard-working, reliable, and horse-savvy individual to join our team at Splendor Farms! This is more than a job — it’s a hands-on role with real responsibility, growth, and daily work with horses of all ages.

Requirements & Responsibilities:
• Strong experience with horse care and stable management
• Ability to safely operate tractor + side-by-side
• Friendly, guest-focused attitude
• Excellent record-keeping and attention to detail
• Physically fit with reliable transportation
• Able to identify basic signs of equine health (colic, cuts, fungus, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a "can-do" mindset
• Leadership abilities to assist owner with staff, ordering feed/shavings, and scheduling vet/farrier/chiro/dentist
• Daily barn duties: paddock picking, cleaning buckets/stalls, moving hay, sweeping, tack cleaning, feeding/watering, grooming, bathing

¬ HIRING BARN MANAGER/TRAIL GUIDE/RIDING INSTRUCTOR

• More than just basic experience with horse care and stable work

• Must be able to safely operate tractor/side by side

• Must be friendly and helpful to guests/customers/clients

• Must work neatly, accurately, and with attention to detail in record keeping
