ANOTHER UPDATE THAT IS INCREDIBLE!!!
I just got off the phone with Dash's breeder, owner, and trainer in British Columbia! Frank Barroby is now 83 years old! He was an honored trainer in Canada. You should see the articles written about him!
Anyway, I called him to let him know that "Rainbow Dash" is alive and well! He said he has never had anyone call and say, "I have one of your horses," and he thanked me and asked if I could possibly send pictures! Damn right I will!
I explained that for the past year, he had been loved and cared for by Phoenix Rising Equine Rescue. Karla, he asked me to thank you for making sure he was safe. I told him that I had been told that he was loved for 10 years and that, sadly, due to the owner's situation, she needed to find him a new home. Then I explained that since I am mostly a racehorse rescue, Phoenix Rising contacted us when they thought he might need a different kind of situation.
Sometimes ex-owners are happy to hear about their old horses, and sometimes they don't care. THIS MAN CARES! And YES ... I am crying happy tears!
