Entanglement. Longhair blue based cream dapple female.

Wondering what it means to be 'blue based'? Well, genetically it means she carries two copies of the dilute gene. It makes her nose, paw pads, and skin around her eyes appears blue/gray instead of black. Her coat also has a silvery blue hue to it.

This is a great example of a 'pointed' puppy. See the cream points on his muzzle, eyebrows, stripe across the chest, and his lower legs and paws? That's what makes him pointed. As opposed to the several of the solid colored, or non-pointed, puppies in the Moons of Saturn litter.

For those of you wondering what I mean by 'non-pointed'

Batura is a chocolate and tan dapple, meaning she has tan points. Points are the tan areas on her muzzle, 'eyebrow' dots, a splash across the chest, and the paws.

​Högl​ is a solid non-pointed black. Meaning he does not have any tan or cream points. The solid black is very uncommon in dachshunds. He can produce solid non-pointed offspring, as seen in the Moons of Saturn litter.

And last, but certainly not least, of the six Moons of Saturn puppies, here is Mimas. She's a longhair black dapple.
