It's been too cold to do much lately, but Regina's kits are already 8 weeks! Where does the time fly?!?!? It's supposed to warm up this weekend, so hopefully I can spend some time to get updated pictures of them 😊.

These are Storm Warning's kits and they will be 9 weeks on Tuesday (12/17).

We visited Happy Hollow Homestead last Sunday for some posing and picture help. The broken castor doe and the broken black buck are available. 😊

The words we’ve received from a family friend who lives down there, is that their need is HAY for their area farms.
Well, the south NEEDS help! Those farms down there have had

In an effort to help our brothers and sisters in the south and their livestock, we are filling a trailer FULL OF HAY to drive down Oct 15th

This trailer costs $2,500 to get down there.

We can take physical hay donations, too. There is a massive shortage of hay in this area, so we need to expand our search of help. We will be traveling south down 64 & 77 thru West Virginia and Virginia.

If you can think of someone along that route, SHARE THIS POST! We need HAY & finances to buy more HAY. We get enough, we could even buy a semi from the west and have it trucked over.

These guys are almost 2 weeks old! Still waiting on a couple more NZ does to kindle this weekend, but here is the 2 week old litter for cuteness 😊

(They were put in a temporary nestbox to grab the picture. Plus to do a head count since mama kept pulling fur for them and I kept taking the excess out since it's so hot!)

Genetics......it boggles my mind 😅.

So, these 2 are purebred NZ. They are 2 weeks old as of yesterday. They are from a REW doe and a pedigreed black buck that has since left for a meat program.

Sometimes mixing colors is a good idea to see the recessives that pop out. In this case, I wasn't expecting these 2.

They're Californian marked. Which means they got that gene from their sire are the dam is cc, the most recessive on the C allele. It was a surprise to me as all the rabbits in the sire's pedigree were black. This shows that recessives can hide for many generations and pop out when least expected.

I'll get better pictures of their eyes later, but they are red. They weren't being photogenic today and don't blame them with the heat. 🙂

We had 2 new litters of Rex born this past week as well. First picture is of Stella and Kol's litter of 8 that were born Thursday. Second picture is of Maybelline and Kol's litter of 9 born Sunday. 😍

Later this week, pictures will be taken and posted of what we have currently available for Rex. We have 2 available from Stella's last litter and 3 available from Queenie's last litter that just turned 8 weeks on May 8th 😊
