This year, we are partnering with the ever-tasty Benihana for a three-day long fundraiser. How cool is that! From Monday, January 27th – January 29th, 20% of food and non-alcoholic beverage sales will be donated back to PHS/SPCA when guests present the attached flyer to their server before ordering. This promotion is valid at the Bayshore AND Cupertino locations.

Pigeons make great pets, as they are intelligent, can be easily trained, are relatively quiet, and can form strong bonds with their owners. Derby is a gentle senior pigeon looking for a comfy and quiet forever home to spend his remaining years peacefully. He is a bit shy but easy to handle and would do well with a family that has some experience with older birds and their care. Be prepared to fall in love when you meet him! They are intelligent, relatively easy to care for, have a calm temperament, form strong bonds with their owners, and can even be trained to perform tricks. Derby, Jaskier, Hans Gruber, and Roller Ball are just a few of the phenomenal pigeons currently waiting to fly into their forever homes.

The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA’s Pet of the Week is Burrata.

Burrata is a medium sized, spayed female Californian rabbit looking for love! While she is not Italian, she DOES embody the mild, smooth, and fresh characteristics of her namesake cheese! She is an active bunny, so she would love to go home to a spacious enclosure where she can get her daily steps in! She loves to chew on things, as her teeth are constantly growing, and chewing helps keep them healthy. When she’s tired after a session of running here and there and leaping in the air, she will flop next to you so you can pet her head. If you are looking for an active, curious bunny, as soft as a fine Burrata cheese, perhaps she’s the one for you.
