This week, we're taking a big step forward by spaying or neutering 23 cats and 3 dogs. This crucial procedure is essential for several reasons. First and foremost, it helps control the pet population, reducing the number of animals that end up in shelters or, tragically, on the streets. By preventing unwanted litters, we can ensure more pets find loving homes. Additionally, spaying or neutering can significantly improve an animal's health and behavior. It reduces the risk of certain cancers and diminishes aggressive tendencies, leading to a more harmonious home environment. Moreover, these procedures can contribute to longer, healthier lives for our furry companions. Overall, spaying and neutering are vital components of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.

Affordable spay and neuter services should be accessible to everyone, as they play a crucial role in minimizing animal suffering and curbing the influx of unwanted puppies and kittens that often end up in shelters or rescues. Criticizing those who choose low-cost options or seek veterinary services from reputable professionals abroad, such as in Mexico, overlooks the broader goal of animal welfare. We are fortunate to have one of our trusted veterinarians offering low-cost spay and neuter procedures throughout August. These services not only help control the pet population but also reduce the burden on shelters, allowing them to focus resources on the animals already in their care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these opportunities. We are deeply grateful to MVZ Gerardo Ferriño Fierro for making these vital services available to all.

We are starting this new page after our last one was cyber hacked and taken over this weekend. We are aware of many other rescues that were also affected and we are having Meta support work on that.
Sadly, it will take a long time and it may not give us the recovery that we would like.
So we are starting from scratch in efforts to keep our community informed about our continued rescue efforts.
We apologize for the disgusting content being shared on our previous page and we pray that Meta works quickly at solving that issue.

What an incredible event today turned out to be! We successfully dewormed and microchipped over 150 dogs, making a significant impact on their health and safety. Microchipping is crucial as it provides a permanent form of identification, ensuring lost pets have a higher chance of being reunited with their owners. Today's event was a resounding success, as it brought together a community of dedicated individuals committed to animal welfare. We feel truly fortunate to have been part of such a remarkable and memorable day. A heartfelt thank you to Chief of Police Amy Gonzalez, Mayor Aaron Valdez, The Buddy Foundation, Viva K9 Dog Training, Grooming and Boarding Center, Eagle Pass Police Department and all the amazing volunteers who made this event possible. We’re thrilled to see what the future holds!
