📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE! 📢
There are going to be a few changes for Grace Mobile Pet Care. In the interest of transparency, these changes are due to a recent diagnosis of Psoriatic Arthritis, which is an autoimmune condition and affects my overall health. I am fine but I need to dial back a little to ensure my health & energy are being spent in effective ways. There are two updates I will outline below -

1. I am temporarily not accepting new clients. I need to put my focus & energy on ensuring my current clients are receiving the services they need. Current clients include anyone who has had an appointment with me previously, even if it was only 1 appointment - you're all welcome & encouraged to continue booking appointments with me.
2. Scheduling will look a little different. I am going to assign a few weekend dates each month and post them on this page. If you would like an appointment on a weekend, please comment or message me your preferred date of the options I post and we will arrange a time frame. My arrival window might look a little different. Instead of set appointment times or 15 minute windows, I might need to set longer arrival windows on certain days as some of my clients live an hour apart.

If you are one of my few weekday (Monday or Friday) clients, nothing is changing for you. You can continue scheduling with me as we have in the past.

Thank you everyone for understanding & navigating these changes with me. I am so grateful for all of my clients & I enjoy working with your pets & I look forward to continuing to do so 💕

You can expect another post in the next day or two with my available weekend dates for June. If you already have an appointment scheduled with me for this month or next month, don't worry - your appointment date & time is secure 😊

🩵 Meet Winter! 🩵
This beautiful girlie is so energetic and sweet, and I absolutely love spending time loving on her at our appointments. But, when it comes to nail trims she has very high anxiety. She is the perfect example of why fear free is so important. Her owners were so helpful and compliant! They had the same goal in mind as I did - help Winter get her nails trimmed safely and with as little fear/anxiety as possible. We worked together to ensure that could be a reality.
During my first visit, I spent 30 minutes working with her and getting a good picture of what she needed. After discussing a plan with her dad, we set my second visit and we were able to successfully trim her nails with very little anxiety and all fear free methods! 🎉 She did incredible and now moving forward, we will continue working with her the same way to ensure that her fear around nail trims does not increase. Traditional methods increase fear and anxiety in dogs like Winter - so I'm really happy that I can help families like hers!
I can't wait to see her again and give her lots of pets & peanut butter 🤗🩵

🏁🏃‍♀️💨 Before & After the 5k with Strutt with your Mutt to support Adoption First Animal Rescue! This was such a great experience and for such a good cause. It was great getting to meet new people and their dogs today!

Stay tuned for my next "giving back" announcement because I'm going to have you guys nominate animal related non profits, shelters, and/or rescues for my next donation in a couple of months & I'll choose one of them at random 🎉

I have been battling an allergy induced sinus infection & laryngitis for the last 2 weeks so my race time will be less than impressive but I'm excited to go represent Grace Mobile Pet Care for a good cause! 🤗

Question - Who benefits from in home nail trims & basic grooming needs?

Answer - Since in home care eliminates the need to load your pets into the car and drive several minutes away to unload them and wait in a lobby, then load them up again once it's time to go home..it can benefit a wide variety of people including -
⭐️ Those with physical limitations due to age, injury, or chronic illness
⭐️ Those who can no longer drive
⭐️ Those who have multiple pets and find it a hassle to load them all up at once or make multiple trips to take them one at a time
⭐️ Those who simply find it inconvenient to have to leave the house sometimes (relatable!)

And MOST importantly, it can benefit your pets!
⭐️ Pets with anxiety at vets or groomers
⭐️ Pets who have anxiety or fear about car rides
⭐️ Pets who simply feel safer at home in their own environment where a nail trim can be quick, consistently the same human, and treats are involved!

Duchess gets a gold star for being such a good girl for her first appointment! Peanut butter is a winner with this girly. She let me trim & dremel her nails so they would be perfectly short & smooth for her parents! ⭐️ 10/10 - can't wait to see her again!

Q: What happens if my dog is too anxious or aggressive to complete services?

A: It doesn't happen often, but on occasion a pet may be too anxious and/or aggressive for services to be completed. Prior to our appointment, I like to ask about any relevant medical or behavioral history so I can be prepared for what your pet will likely need during our visit. I will try different methods of handling and distractions. I do have the proper equipment to keep your pet and myself safe during services, even if aggressive behaviors are being displayed. However, there may come a point where your pet's anxiety or behaviors are putting themselves at risk of injury or extreme distress. Having 12 years of experience working as a vet tech has given me the ability to know when a pet is ready to tap out and not let it get to the point of injury or increasing stress.
I believe communication is important, so I will touch base with you along the way if things are not going as desired. I will always give you options and keep you informed. My top priority is your pets well being, so any decision we make is one in your pets best interest!
