July 4th pet safety tips! 🎇🇺🇸

As we come up on the holiday I always like to share tips for making sure your Furry Friends are comfortable and safe!

‼️‼️Please put your babies collars and id tags on them! More pets are lost on the forth of July than any other day of the year. Putting their tags on can help get them home safely! ‼️‼️

Make sure they have a comfortable spot to rest if they do get scared. Their hearing is way better than ours and they can hear pops and bangs from far away.

Give them a calming medicine if needed (and suggested by your vet). There are also weighted sweaters and blankets to help sooth pups. Putting on music or a movie can help. 🎶

It’s been hot! Keep them comfortable with water, shade, or staying inside. Please be sure to have supplies and check ground and air temps before taking your pup out for any length of time. I suggest getting exercise and walks in the morning so that they are able to stay home and relax while you enjoy your holiday fun! 🇺🇸

With things heating up… 🔥🔥🔥

Please remember to check surface temperatures before letting your pup out! Even surfaces like turf, light colored cement/ sidewalks, and even GRASS can be too hot! Always put your palm down and hold it down to test different surface conditions.

I always recommend coconut oil on your pups paws to keep them moisturized and in good condition!
