Hey Paso I promise, I am on the way. Death Valley roads have claimed another victim. I had a blow out just shy of Eureka Dunes. No cell service and seeing no other travelers led to drastic measures and driving like I stole it. 💀 Thankfully a new rim, break lines, and tire are on the way. Due to arrive on Monday. Not quite the adventure in the desert I had in mind.

My night was made a little shorter thanks to a guy in a jeep who found me three hours in and gave me a ride into town. After a bit of a search I got a tow that could handle such a long vehicle and made it into Bishop 8 hours later. My home on wheels looks a sorry state but with good timing and luck we will be on the road and back in Paso on Tuesday. I will likely be opening a little later than normally though. 😴

I wish the trip wasn't cut so short. I was totally enjoying the desert. The temperature during the day was only 78° and the colors of the desert were beautiful. Yes, that is moss growing on the rocks alongside lichen. Its mind blowing what can survive in the shade of the canyons.

For those wondering, yes, I had a spare tire...that only fits the front wheels. The back is a super single 8.5" wide tire and different lug pattern. No tools would have helped on this one. I will be investing in another spare for the back, so future adventures are not as "exciting"
