On January 21, 2026 we got an email from the City of Burbank. A little birdie told me that LA Department of Water and Power has finally approved the plans. Heres what she said……

“We finally got the approval from the LADWP on the project! The approval process literally took two years!!!! Although we are still waiting on one additional approval, the LADWP approval is HUGE!!!!

My staff is moving forward with getting the project ready to go out to bid as we await this last approval. I’m extremely optimistic that this project will finally be built and we can all celebrate the opening later this year.”

We’ve all been waiting so long for this, exciting what started as a small Dick Clark Reading Annex pitch is slowly becoming a reality as a full blown Dick Clark Dog Park and so much bigger than the three of us that spoke almost 7 years ago (July 2nd 2019) ever imagined. As you’ve seen in other articles once they start. It should take 90 to 120 days. I’m telling you this because I promised to keep you posted. Special thanks to Judie Wilke, Marisa Garcia, Micheal Del Campo and everybody at the City of Burbank, but most of all YOU and your furry ones that have been waiting patiently, we all have wanted and dreamt about this for so long.
