It’s been about a year since I had a bad heart attack. I had a 100% , a 95%, 65% and two 30% blockages. It’s been a long haul to recovery. I’m doing pretty good and want to thank my customers for being so patient in getting their mounts back.
I can only do one mount at a time, but I’ve been making tremendous progress in getting mounts done. I hope by the end of summer I’ll be pretty much caught up. Please hang in there and I hope to make your wait worth it. God blessings to all of you!!!🦌❤️

I am sorry to say after 43 years of doing Taxidermy,I will not be taking in any Taxidermy work this year during hunting season. With me slowing down with my health ,having chronic Lyme disease.
I am thankful for all my good customers and your understanding. I am not quitting Taxidermy. I am only trying to get caught up and get my turnaround time lower. I am still working on mounts. Please don’t call Checking on mounts as it only takes more of my time away from getting your mounts finished. I appreciate your understanding very much. Thank you.

Avid page follower Bruce Simpson sent me this snap with bus driver Wayne Rozell & his bus. Wayne carried is rifle in the bus during the deer season while preforming his transport duties for the Chadwick, Missouri School District. Wayne poses here with a doe he took whilst "on the job".. Different times in in those days! Circa 1963. 🏹

NEWS: Proposed 2023-24 Ohio Deer Hunting Season Dates & Bag Limits

Proposed deer hunting dates & DSA seasons are similar to those in 2022-23 and changes to county bag limits (3️⃣ & 4️⃣ ⤵️) are minor. If approved by Ohio Wildlife Council, the proposals will take effect for the upcoming fall hunting season.

1️⃣. Overall, season dates were proposed to align with 2022-23 calendar dates.
2️⃣. Disease Surveillance Area (DSA) Early Hunting
Archery: Sept. 9, 2023-Feb. 4, 2024
Early gun: Oct. 7-9, 2023
These changes are meant to increase the deer harvest, decrease the possibility of disease transmission, and limit the spread of CWD in Hardin, Marion, and Wyandot counties. (Doe harvest especially helps stop the spread of the disease.)
3️⃣. Increase the bag limit from 2 to 3: Belmont, Gallia, Geauga, Harrison, Jefferson, and Monroe counties. (County bag limit increases are designed to slow herd growth and create additional opportunities for hunters.)
4️⃣. Reduce Butler County bag limit from 3 to 2; allow the deer herd in this area to grow following an outbreak of EHD in the late summer and early fall of 2022. (Other counties were not as badly impacted and will recover in time.)
