Red Flags that will tell you that you are dealing with a back-yard breeder (someone that you don't want to every buy a puppy from).
1) The breeder is willing to let a puppy go home before the puppy is 8 weeks old;
2) The breeder does not have a sales tax license; and
3) The breeder tells you that this was an "Oops" litter.
Buying from this kind of breeder rewards bad behavior and encourages the behavior to continue. The puppy may be cheaper but there will most likely be other issues that you will regret in the future.
