Hi My Friends.
A young mom reached out to me needing her two older pups to be adopted. They are not adjusting to her 2 yr old. Please share. They are not expected to go together. Appreciate any help.

Here is her descriptions:

Ollie is our sweet, social 8-year-old husky mix. He’s affectionate, quirky, and loves attention, walks, and having space to run. He’s great with adults and most dogs, but not a fit for homes with babies or young kids.
• 65 lbs, fully potty trained
• Healthy & up to date on vaccines, neutered
• Calm at home but needs room to play
• Smart, food motivated, and a little stubborn in a charming way

We love him deeply and want to find the right forever home where he can thrive.

Link is a sweet, easygoing terrier mix with a heart full of love and a calm spirit that makes him a joy to be around.

About Link:

• Adult, fully grown
• Loves walks, cuddles, and just going with the flow
• House-trained and well-mannered
• Healthy & up to date on vaccines, neutered
• Great with adults

🐶 His ideal home:
Link thrives in a calm, loving environment. He gets along with most dogs but appreciates having his space, so a home where he’s the only dog or with respectful canine companions would be ideal. He’s not a fan of young children or babies — their energy can be a bit much for him — so a home with adults would suit him best.

He’s an easy dog to love and will happily curl up beside you after a walk or hang out while you relax. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a go-with-the-flow vibe, Link’s your guy. He was adopted at two years old (and had clearly been previously abused) so he can be shy or timid for a few minutes around new people until he becomes his comfortable self.

Back at boarding! Kennels are open and quite full for the summer! Can’t wait to meet new pups and see all my favorites! First boarders are Libby and her new sister Birdie. I also have a foster pup who’ll be headed north with, A Place for Ace, rescue. My heart is full.

Although the fundraiser is to help in Leo’s recovery, he passed over the rainbow yesterday. Leo was a very dedicated, hard working and lovable service dog. I had the pleasure of training Leo when he was just a pup. His biggest issue was being too friendly. Unfortunately, he became ill and the vets did everything they could to save him, but it was his time. It has been devastating to JB (his veteran) and now on top of loosing Leo, he owes about $5,000 in vet bills trying to save him.

Leo went with JB on a weekly basis to a variety of classes and workout sessions at the Y. He was by JB’s side while he swam in the pool and lifted weights. The fundraiser was set up by one of the many people touched by Leo at the Y. He lit up every room he walked into. All of this helped JB learn to socialize more easily, sleep better at night and if he fell, Leo was right there for support. He will be truly missed by all of us, but especially JB. He left us way too soon. 💔

One of the sweetest moments to witness. My foster had her pup. Yes, just one. Kalli is the best mom ever. Delivered without any issues. I was just there on standby. Now she’s being the best mom ever. Both will be up for adoption in about 10 weeks. 🥰

These two fosters have stole my heart. They are settling in and are so loving and fun. They both like belly rubs and give kisses. Kalli is crazy about fetch and loves a game of tug. So playful! Kassi, the young puppy, is walking well on leash, potty trained and crate trained. I’m sure both will make a great companion to anyone looking for a fun, loving pup. Interested? Kalli and Kassi are having fun and learning more and more to help them in their new forever homes. Both girls are house broken. We are working on leash manners and both are sitting for meals. They both love the ball and fetch. Kalli is very focused, Kassi, being the pup, is still learning the game. Both are sweet and like to give kisses. Due to the lack of socialization they are a bit leery of strangers. They are growing more and more comfortable with every day. They are looking for a loving home and a companion who will be their person. Please share and help these pups find new homes.

Kalli and Kassi have arrived. They were found running the highways in northern Texas. A sweet lady picked them up, tried to find their home and unsuccessfull, had to bring them home. So glad I have the pleasure of fostering these two pups. Kalli is about 2 yrs old, loves the game of fetch, house trained and has some basic obedience. She’s learning to trust and will get lots of socialization during her stay.

Kassi is about 4 months. She seems to be house trained and enjoys toys and chews. She is learning to trust and will also get lots of socialization and some basic training while staying here. They are up for adoption. They have been vaccinated and will be spay in the coming weeks. If you are interested in meeting these girls, just drop me a note. I suggest they go to two separate homes.

A volunteer with a heart of gold stopped on her way home from visiting family in Northern Texas and saved these two pups from getting hit on the side of the road. She tried to find their home before bringing them down here. We are now looking for homes for them. They are a momma and pup which I suggest going to separate homes. They will come stay with me for a few weeks. If you are interested in meeting them and/or helping with their socialization please contact me. They will begin their stay on 2/25 if they haven’t been adopted.

Here’s what their foster mom has to say:

(Mama) and Kassi were found on the side of the highway, starving and cold … they are good pups 🐶 that love to play. Kalli loves being around people but it takes her a bit to warm up. She loves to play and has a lot of energy, she knows a lot of commands and minds real well.🙂 Kassi seems to only know Kalli, but has warmed up to us so much! She’s a very sweet pup! They both are! They are both up to date on vaccines but not yet spayed.

If we want change at one of our local shelters, we have to try. If this pertains to you, please share your experience. Although we all feel for the dogs, if we keep donating and enabling them to continue improper procedures and care, we’re really not helping the pups.

This pup is available for adoption. Graysie is up to date on vaccines, spayed, heartworm negative and fostered by a very caring young lady. She is about 2-3 yrs old, weighs about 45lbs, dog friendly and loves people (young and old). Graycie was found injured on the street and was rescued and vetted. Here’s what the foster has to report:

“Meet Graysie, a.k.a Bowie, nicknamed after her iconic blue/brown David Bowie eyes. This little rock star is a 2 ½ year old yellow shepherd mix who is ready to find a loving permanent family. Graysie is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She is a big fan of humans (including children) and gets along with other dogs.

Graysie is fully potty trained and is very well behaved—knows how to sit and stay. She loves to take long walks, play with her ball, but most of all, she LOVES to cuddle (big time!). She is spayed and all up to date in her vaccines. Please help us find a loving home for this loving girl. “ Please share and help Graysie find a new home.
