GOOD…….. Tank is a wonderful boy and has had 4 weeks of professional obedience training. He loves to be with his people and go places. He is very well mannered on a leash and doesn’t pull. He was raised around our son and loves kids. Not recommended for small kids, only because he doesn’t recognize his size at times. He does great with bath time and getting his nails trimmed. He does get crated at night, as he may or may not get into the trash. He is 100% an inside dog and has never spent a night outside. So he needs a home, where he will be kept inside and not made to live outside. He does need a fenced in yard, so he can run freely and safe. If he catches a smell of something, he may take off and get lost. He does load in a vehicle very good and will even jump in, if the vehicle is tall. He does really good out in public and loves everyone. We take him to places like Lowe’s, Home Depot, Petsmart, Tractor Supply and Rural King.
BAD…… Tank needs a home without young kids, as he doesn’t realize his size. He isn’t mean to kids at all and he loves him. He may not realize he can’t lean on a toddler. He has never been around cats but does bark at the ones that live next door. So I would say he needs a home without cats. He does kill birds, so definitely a home without pet birds. He doesn’t get along with other male dogs and will get aggressive with them. This is the ONLY reason we are trying to find the best home for him. As we have other male dogs and Tank has become aggressive towards them. One of them is 10 years old and can’t handle Tank beating up on him. So we are doing what we feel is best for everyone in this situation.
IDEAL HOME…….. Is one with no male dogs, cats or birds. A fenced in yard is a must and having knowledge of the breed is a huge plus. One where he will be allowed to live inside and be apart of the family. As this is what he is used to and I want this to be as easy as it can be for him. A home where the family is active with outdoor activities. He needs to be able to burn off energy everyday or he will get board. If he gets board, he might get destructive. He needs daily attention and loved on.
REQUIREMENTS: Prof of fenced in yard, your Vet Reference and own your home.
