🐾 Wellness Update on Our Love Bug (aka Arlove) 🐾
Yesterday, we went back to the vet for a recheck to make sure her skin and ear infections were truly heading in the right direction — and I’m so happy to share some really good news. 💕
After Dr. Green took a look at her, she came back in smiling and said Our LoveBug looks AMAZING. Like… a completely different dog. 🥹
Her yeast and bacterial infections are clearing beautifully, her skin looks healthy, and her ears are responding so well to daily care. The vet confirmed what we suspected — her issues are very likely allergy‑related — and told us to keep doing exactly what we’re doing. We refilled her ear medication and were on our way.
One of the biggest game‑changers for her care?
A simple baby changing table.
Nothing fancy — but every single day, I put Our Love Bug up on it and clean her ears thoroughly. It’s made her routine easier, safer, and way less stressful for both of us. Consistency has been everything, and it’s clearly paying off. 💪🐶
When you look at her before photos from the shelter versus now…it’s night and day. She’s more comfortable, happier, and finally getting to feel what “normal” should feel like.
You’ll also see her vet bill included here — this visit (along with ongoing care) was placed on CareCredit and still needs to be paid back. Rescue care doesn’t stop once they leave the shelter, and the medical costs add up fast.
Now, if we can get her cherry eye surgery taken care of, she truly will be a brand‑new girl — ready for the forever home she deserves. While she is adoptable now, the reality is that many adopters hesitate when surgery is involved, even when the dog herself is thriving.
If you’d like to help Our Love Bug take that final step — by donating, sharing her story, or simply cheering her on — it truly makes a difference. Every bit of support helps move her closer to a pain‑free, stable future.
Thank you for loving her with us. 🐾💕
