Easter is a wonderful time for celebration, but let's keep our pets safe, too! 🐰💚

Many common Easter items can be harmful to curious pets, so a little extra caution goes a long way. Keep an eye on what's within reach and enjoy a worry-free holiday with your pets!

🍀 Rover is 2 years old and weighs 61 pounds, and he arrived on March 6 after he was found wandering around the Dacula area. Right now he’s a little timid and shy, but underneath that cautious first impression is a chill, curious boy who’s clearly just trying to figure things out. Rover takes in the world slowly... lots of sniffing, watching, and quietly deciding if you might be his person. Give him a little patience and a little kindness, and you can see that tail start to loosen up. Honestly, we think this sweet guy just needs a bit of good luck this March… maybe the kind that ends with a couch, a yard, and someone who tells him he’s a very good boy every day. He does have heartworm, but will begin treatment with an adoption or rescue commitment!

We haven’t dog tested Rover yet, and the shelter cats have filed a formal “no thank you” to participating in those evaluations. We try not to pile on extra stress for the pups here. If you want the latest scoop, give us a call! Our kennel team knows all the Rover gossip and will happily share updates. Meet-and-greets are required because dogs are like people… sometimes it’s instant best friends, sometimes it’s a polite “nice to meet you.” We prefer to figure that out before anyone packs their bags.

✨ Feeling lucky? Come meet Rover and see if he’s been waiting for you. Just ask for ID #115714.

Koda is a 6-year-old, 48-lb Catahoula mix with a sweet soul and an energetic spirit. He’s a fun-loving guy who lives for playtime, especially tug-of-war with his favorite humans and a good game of fetch. He also enjoys racing around the yard with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to keep him company (he’s more of a chase-and-run kind of player than a wrestler so far).

Koda is affectionate and bonds closely with his people, which means he doesn’t love being left alone for long periods. He’ll thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not, and ideally with another dog to help keep him feeling secure. He can be a little anxious at first, but once he settles in and feels safe, his loving personality really shines.

This agile, athletic boy enjoys going on walks, is very food-motivated (treats are the way to his heart!), and already knows sit and listens pretty well. With his intelligence and eagerness, he’d do great continuing to build on his training.

Important note: Koda requires a securely fenced yard taller than 4 feet -- he needs a safe space to run, play, and burn off his energy.

If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and sweet companion who will keep you active and love you wholeheartedly, Koda might just be your perfect match.

To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org

Meet Pantera Rose, a beautiful 5-year-old girl who recently lost the home she knew when her person’s health declined. Situations like this are heartbreaking, and they happen more often than people realize. It’s a reminder of how important it is to have a plan in place for our pets, so they’re always safe and cared for no matter what life brings.

Pantera Rose was fortunate that a foster was available for her. Fosters and donations are what makes it all possible. Angels is so grateful for both.

Pantera Rose needs to be spayed before she can be adopted, maybe vaccines too. This is why donations are needed, to be sure every dog or cat we rescue are ready for adoption. We want her to be well cared for now and after adoption.

You can use the donate button below her photo, or you can use our website:
www.Angelsrescue.org/donate
This is a new donation page and eliminates the drop-down box you may be used to. For your donation to support Pantera Rose specifically, you can include her name when you donate on Angels’ website.

Please consider fostering in the Atlanta area for Angels. You will have lots of support along the way and you can help save more pets! Go to:
www.Angelsrescue.org/foster
We would be very grateful.
