Opportunities sometimes come spontaneously and unexpected, but when a "bucket list" opportunity presents itself, and the stars align, it's basically illegal not to take advantage of it!(I don't make the rules🤷🏻‍♀️)
I say all that to say this, 🗣️the shop will be closed to all grooming as well as boarding starting this Friday Aug 15th thru Monday the 25th so that I can check an item off my bucket list!✅😎
I will get with everyone on scheduling thru the rest of August and into September. If you're on a rotation or you've contacted me this week, I've got you on the scheduling list! If you just can't wait, I understand if you need to take them elsewhere, but I do greatly appreciate those who wait. It means a lot!

More details later but I'm so excited!!🤩

We're well into August now so wanted to give a heads up on some changes happening😁
I am officially back to working by myself as my bestie assistant has taken a step back to do other things so that means I'll be doing a few less dogs every week, making my schedule tighter. I still plan to only groom Tuesday-Thursday but will only be doing 3-5 dogs/day now depending on who they are and how many boarders I have staying at the time. This is where staying on a rotating schedule becomes important since my vacancies for randoms will be few and far between😬 I always try to accommodate when I can but I have to consider my health these days cuz these aching joints are no joke🫠

On the flip side, I've been pretty busy with boarding and I'm so thankful for all of you who trust me with your babies. We have the best time!🤩 If you know of anyone looking for an alternative to traditional boarding, send them my way, I love meeting new pups and their people!🐶🤗
The holidays are fast approaching, and dates are already getting filled in, so don't hesitate to make your reservations so you know FiFi and Fido will have a comfy and safe place to stay while you're off visiting family/friends. Boarding rates/requirements are pinned at top of my biz page💁🏻‍♀️

Y'all be patient with me as I adjust to flying solo again, I've been a little spoiled with the freedom of having help in the shop, especially when I have boarders to tend to😮‍💨
(And NO, I do NOT plan to replace her. I don't like other people🤭)

Hi there!🙋🏻‍♀️ Hope everyone had a safe July 4th weekend celebrating our freedom!🇺🇸
We had a great time at the dog show for the Leon County Funtier Days in Centerville, and are thankful the weather was cooperative and kept things a little cooler than normal😌
I have a couple of openings tomorrow(7/9)for baths but rest of week is booked. I will NOT BE GROOMING next week so that I have time to make memories with family during our little staycation, and still have plenty of time for our boarding guests.(I am fully booked for boarders during that time as well) I will be limited on availability for messages and calls then but will return them at least once a day😬
Anyone who is due for their regular visit next week(and there are many😅)will be moved to the week after. I will get with all of you by end of this week to get you on the schedule.
I appreciate all of my loyal clients and your patience during this crazy summertime, y'all are awesome!😎

Our hearts go out to the Texas hill country and the tragedies that have unfolded with the flooding. It's very overwhelming emotionally as we try to fathom the loss and devastation to so many families. As a little girl I also went to camp off the same river in the same area many years ago, so putting myself in that scenario leaves me absolutely speechless😞 Praying for all the families, searchers, and even pets that are involved in this nightmare. I just can't wrap my mind around it💔🙏🏻

Make sure your babies are safe, secure, and happy while you(and others)celebrate!!🐶🇺🇸🎇

It’s a week of celebrations! Depending on where you’re located, you may be celebrating Canada Day (July 1) or Fourth of July this Friday (U.S.).

🎆As fireworks displays, cookouts/barbecues and parades are underway, make sure your pet’s safety and comfort are top priorities for your celebrations!

👇PSI encourages pet parents and pet professionals to keep these tips in mind:

✅ Keep pets inside during celebrations (+ close all doors and windows and play the tv or calming music for your pet).
✅ Make sure your pet wears an identification tag and that your microchipping records are up to date with your current contact information.
✅ Watch out for unsafe foods and decorations, and make sure your guests know not to feed your pets.
✅ Use the services of a professional pet sitter if you’ll be away from home.

I AM A DOG BOARDING FACILITY OWNER
I meet your pup. I fall in love with your pup. I get to know you. I share your daily struggles, going to work and after your day is done. I know your loves, your dislikes, your struggles, your happy times and your sad times. I listen to you boast with pride and I am here for you when something doesn’t go right.
I play with your pup, I feed your pup. I make sure his poo is healthy. Is he eating? Is he drinking? Do I need to add pumpkin to his food? Chicken and rice? Wet food so he will eat? Does he have allergies? Let’s check.
Did he take his meds? Do I add them to wet food? Peanut butter? Cheese? As a treat? Do I need to put the meds down his throat at the risk of being bitten? He needs his meds. Did he take his meds?
Did he play nicely? Did he get scratched? Is he limping? Where did that blood come from? His toe, his tooth, his ear? Is he a puppy? Is he teething? Is he in the right playgroup? Too calm? Too active? Too big? Too small?
Did he eat his lunch? Is he drinking enough? Did he throw up? Have diarrhea? Why? Is he nervous? Shy? Confident? Does he have separation anxiety?
I comfort him, love on him, redirect him when he misbehaves. Is he too tired? Too old? Too young? Does he have the correct vaccines? Do I have the owner’s phone number? Emergency contact number? Do I take him to the vet? Or wait? Do I tell the owner he has a tummy ache or wait a day with chicken and rice? What would the owners be able to do from Hawaii? Cabo? San Diego? Chicago? Will it ruin their vacation if I call? Will they worry too much, when I could just tend to them for a couple days with chicken and rice? Should I call?
I take your pup to the emergency hospital when I can’t get ahold of you. I cry, I worry. What do I do without the owner’s consent? The doctors are so understanding and helpful. I pay in order to get your pup medical care that he needs no matter what the cost.
I feel exhausted, sad, worried, happy, thankful of your trust. Upset when you are disappointed or unhappy for any reason. Trying to please. Trying to do my best every day. Come in at all hours to handle situations to ensure your pet’s safety.
I go to the grocery if you didn’t bring enough food. I don’t charge. You have a family emergency. I fit your pup in even though we are sold out. I give you a discount. I send flowers when you lose your best friend, have a baby, or lose a loved one.
I cry when you are not looking, wondering if I am doing everything I can. I worry. Will you be happy with my services? With my employees? With my pricing? My conversation? My expressing of concerns to help your pup and you?
Will you ever know what I have done to ensure your pet is healthy, happy and excited to see you when you pick up? Will you be upset with me if I tell you your pup acted out and needs training? Is it my fault?
Do you know that I work 14-16 hour days 6-7 days a week? That I have policies in place for safety reasons? Not to inconvenience you. Do you know I come in 2 hours before opening to take care of your pet and stay 2 hours after closing to tuck them in? I have music and nightlights to ensure a restful night?
I give extra lovin’ and sit with your pups. We clean and clean and clean. Still your pup catches a cold. You are upset. I worry. Do I get a bad review? I give blankets if you don’t bring one. I upgrade your pup’s accommodations and don’t tell you.
We have dishes, laundry, mopping, sweeping, cleaning walls, lobby, windows, playrooms, doggie suites, baths to do, bathroom to clean, customer service, paperwork, reservations, phones. And yes…eventually, we get to play with dogs all day.
