Our pet family of the month is the Braner family:

"Say hello to Peanut and Maisy!

These inseparable littermates joined the Braner family two and a half years ago after being rescued from a shelter in Oklahoma. Their original owner of five years had entered hospice care, and thanks to a local rescue group, they found their way to our home and straight into our hearts.

According to their DNA tests, they're mostly Chihuahua-Dachshund mixes, but around here, we're convinced Maisy is 100% sun goddess and Peanut is 100% snuggle-bug. Maisy spends her days chasing sunbeams and her evenings burrowed under a cozy blanket on someone's lap. Peanut, on the other hand, prefers to stay snuggled under blankets unless he's trying to charm us into giving him just one more treat from the kitchen counter.

While they don't speak human, they've mastered the art of communication. Peanut regularly carries around his empty food bowl to politely request seconds. Maisy has perfected a "polite growl" and little circle dance when it's time to head out and bask in the sunshine. And when they're ready to go under the covers, they both gently scratch with their paws to ask for assistance.

Some of our favorite family moments include time on the front porch and road trips to remote cabins, where we can all unwind and soak in the beauty of nature together.

We've been going to the Buffalo Companion Animal Clinic for nearly a decade now, including with our beloved late pups, Jonah and Jericho, who are deeply missed. From wellness checks to managing chronic conditions, we're so grateful for the kind, attentive care the clinic staff continues to provide!"

Introducing our next featured staff pet - Kitty!

Kitty was found by CVT Paige wandering the streets as a kitten. Paige did not intend on keeping her as she already had a cat and a dog so she just called her "kitty". Obviously she fell in love with Kitty and ended up keeping her, and the name, because it was a good fit. Kitty loves food and will eat any snack she can get her paws on. She enjoys bird watching and hanging out on the catio with her housemate, Sally.

Introducing Staff Pet of the Month, Acorn!

Acorn is a 3-year-old cat owned by vet assistant Jordan.
She is the youngest out of 5 siblings. She loves to get into all sorts of trouble and is the most mischievous out of them all. Her favorite past time is chasing her older siblings around the house and singing at the top of her lungs!
She enjoys cuddles from her housemate “Glumshanks” and absolutely nobody else. Her favorite toys are anything with string.
