Feeling Heartbroken 💔 and Overwhelmed Today…
Just recently, I shared a post about a man whose property is overrun with cats and kittens. And now, just this morning, two more people reached out to me.
First, a woman I helped last summer messaged me. Back then, Matt and I rescued 12 cats from her yard and found them loving homes. But today, she sent photos… new kittens, born into the same heartbreaking cycle. 😔
Then, not long after, I got a text from another person who's facing a nearly identical situation. More cats, more kittens, and nowhere to turn.
I’m doing all I can, but I can't do it all. I’m not a rescue. I don’t have a team or donations rolling in. When I say "yes" to helping someone, that means I am the one making the plan, booking vet appointments, setting traps, monitoring the situation daily, and working to find rescue placement. For the cats who aren’t immediately adoptable, I’ve spent time fostering and socializing them because they deserve a future too. I’ve been doing this, quietly and consistently, for the last five years. But this is too much for one person and I don’t have the resources, nor do I have a facility to take any cats in.
If you can foster—even just one cat or kitten—I’ll do the rest.
If you can donate—every dollar helps and goes directly towards food, vet care, and supplies.
I know it might not feel like your problem or responsibility. But this crisis exists because of human neglect and inaction, and it will take human compassion and a community to solve it.
Please share, donate, and foster if you can.
These innocent lives are counting on us. 🐾🐱
