SILVER PAWS SUNDAY

Today’s Silver Paws Sunday Star is Samson.

Samson (Sammy) is a Labrador Retriever (chocolate). His birthday is on June 1 so he just turned 12 years old.

His nickname is “bear” he is excellent at cuddling and he can be very silly. He loves his family and its shows. He is never too far away and seems to always have the biggest smile on his face when he’s with us.

Samson loves playing with his sister Daisy Mae, a 2 year old yellow lab with tons of energy. He also has a cat sister Betty (named after Betty White of course!). They like to take long naps next to each other in the afternoon. His younger brother Baxter (golden retriever mix) comes to visit at least once a week. They like to patrol the neighborhood together on their walks.

Samson is a very good swimmer and loves to play fetch. He also enjoys hiking and taking evening walks in the neighborhood, although he is slowing down a bit probably due to arthritis so we have to go on shorter adventures.

We cherish his unconditional love and loyalty. We are so lucky to have such a good spirited dog. He truly is one of a kind.
