To everyone new here — welcome to Martha’s Farm Animal Sanctuary 🧡
This place started with a simple belief:
Farm animals are sentient beings and have very few protections and deserve more than survival. They deserve safety, care, dignity, and the chance to flourish.
What began as a dream for Nikki and John has grown into a sanctuary tucked into the hills of the Santa Ynez Valley, where cows, goats, pigs, donkeys, sheep, chickens, ducks get a second chance at life. Many of these animals came from situations where they were neglected, unwanted, aging out, or no longer “useful.” Here, they become family.
The sanctuary was named after Nikki’s mother, Martha — an animal lover whose compassion continues to shape everything we do.
This isn’t just a place where animals are fed.
It’s a place where they heal.
Where they form friendships.
Where they learn trust again.
And honestly… where humans tend to heal a little too. We foster the human-animal connection. Helping animals - and people.
One of the most beautiful parts of this community is that there are so many ways to be part of it:

🧡 Volunteer if you’re local
🐐 Symbolically adopt one of the animals

📱 Follow along, comment, share, and engage
It may seem small, but every follow, every share, every conversation helps us reach more people — and the more this community grows, the more we can expand our reach.
We’re really glad you’re here.
