Buckhannon Dog Park

Buckhannon Dog Park The Buckhannon Dog Park is a public, off leash park for vaccinated, healthy, friendly dogs to exercise and play.

Located at the Buckhannon River Walk trail near the boat ramp, it is easily accessed from the parking lot and walking trail. Come out and enjoy our park as we continue to fund raise to further develop the park. You may also join our group called The Buckhannon Dog Park Discussion Page.

Hey folks! If you’d like to be a part of the brick wall display, you can now order a brick to add to the display!

We have a limited amount of space on the current memorial wall that is located at the Buckhannon Dog Park. If you are interested in purchasing a brick we recommend you do so quickly. This campaign will remain open until all spaces are filled or by September 30, 2023, whichever occurs first.

Entry fee is $5 per category. 🍓

This moment has been a long time in the making and has taken a lot of hard work! The dog park brick display is up and security cameras have been installed! Thank you to everyone who worked to get these things installed! You guys rock!

This time last year we were planning our 3rd Annual Whisker Wonderland with LUV 4 Animals. Unfortunately, the 4th Whisker Wonderland won’t be held this year.

We have made some progress at the park though so here is an update! If you have been there lately, you will see the display where the bricks will go along with the giant dog bone! What you may not have noticed is that we now have electric ran to the park which means that cameras can be installed once the Riverwalk gets security cameras. At that point we will place the bricks into the display. We have worked way too hard for this to be vandalized like we experienced once before with the message board! 

Stay tuned for a virtual fundraiser that LUV 4 Animals will be hosting! As always, donations are accepted for the upkeep and improvements at City Hall. We appreciate everyone who has supported the animals and hope you stay safe!
