Happy Monday Facebook friends!

I want to keep you guys posted about a slight change in our hours here at the office-

Dr. Belt is the only doctor here for right now, and we are closing on Tuesdays at noon in order to give her some time off during the week. We had hoped it would only be for the month of July, but as of right now, that will be our regular schedule until further notice.

DON’T WORRY! We can still get you guys in to be seen, no problem. We are working hard so you guys don’t have to feel the interruption in our schedule. If you need to come in, we will get you in!

Thank you so much for your patience with us!

Emily shared this comic with us this morning and it went straight on the fridge!

Do y’all have any “Beasts” at your house? 😂

Me too! My Mr. Weasley is a beastie boy, and Dr. Belt has him on a diet. Did you know that being overweight can contribute to many ailments, including arthritis and diabetes? Those little treats and bites shared sure do add up. It’s just so hard to say “no” sometimes!

Talk to Dr. Belt about your pet’s weight at your next visit, and we will make sure that your furry friend isn’t at risk for something that can be easily prevented by trimming a few pounds. Sometimes we don’t realize how round our friends have gotten until they step up on the scale!

In the mean time, consider sharing green beans, cucumber slices, watermelon chunks, or even ice cubes made out of low sodium chicken broth- instead of crackers, cheese, and hot dogs. Your pet gets to feel special and you don’t have to have the guilt!

Happy Friday everyone 😊

Good morning friends!

Have y’all been seeing a lot of fleas recently? We sure have up here! The rain will make fleas hatch out and they start looking for a blood meal right away. I even found a TICK in Leela’s armpit last night while we were snuggled up for bed! Gross!

Don’t let fleas and ticks sleep with you or your kids. Come grab a dose of Bravecto for your pet so y’all can get out on the lake this weekend with your furry bestie without worrying about stow-aways coming home with you. It comes as a 1 month dose, and a 3 month dose. If you give that one now you won’t have to think about it again until almost Halloween!

We close at 5, so call us and we will have it ready and waiting for you to swing in and pick it up.

BRAVECTO CANNOT BE GIVEN TO DOGS THAT HAVE SEIZURES.

Happy Friday everyone!

There is an internet outage in our area and our phones are not working right now. If you call and can’t get through, email us at [email protected]. We are still working and seeing patients, and we are in surgery this morning so we will not be able to address emails immediately. If you have an emergency, please contact Outwest at 501-319-7355 or AVES at 501-224-3784. You can try calling us first, but we don’t know when the phones will be back on. We appreciate your patience!

Do your doggies love to swim? Make sure you are flushing out their ears after they get out of the water to avoid infections and help keep them dry. My Clementine knows the routine, and she’s in the pool all summer! You can buy regular ear flushes over the counter, or if your baby is prone to ear infections like Clemmie, we can get a medicated flush for you to use. Just give us a call!

Happy Independence Day!

Just a reminder that we are closed today. We hope you all have a safe and happy 4th!

And remember that barbecue is for the 2 legged family members, and bones are for the trash can. We’ve seen a lot of vomiting and diarrhea this week from folks kindly sharing their delicious meals with their furry friends, but their tummies can’t handle it. Let them celebrate with doggy appropriate toys and treats, and feel free to share some tomatoes, cucumber, or watermelon with your 4-legged besties to cool down with!

Here is one of our Best Boy patients, Cooper, smiling big for the camera! He’s ready to have a great time!

See you guys Monday!

*UPDATE ON OFFICE HOURS*

We will only have ONE doctor for the month of July. In order to give Dr. Belt a break during the week, we will only be open from 7:30 to NOON on Tuesdays. We will still be open 7:30-5:30 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Hopefully things will return to normal in August! Thank you all for understanding 🙂

Good morning Facebook friends! Just a reminder that we will be CLOSED for the 4th of July. If your baby is like mine and terrified of fireworks, make sure you call this week to get medication to help them stay calm and comfortable for the festivities! We are already hearing fireworks popping off in my neighborhood 😵‍💫

Some things that might also help are:

-Turning on the TV or radio, or even a box fan
-Closing the curtains and windows so flashes of light can’t be seen
-making a comfy place to hide, like a box with a bed inside and a sheet pulled over the front
-make sure your pet is wearing their collar with ID tags incase they escape. Consider getting them microchipped this week if you haven’t already.

Call the office at 501-847-5300 for any medications you might need.

Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸 🎇 🐶

Our email and pages are not monitored 24/7, and it could be 48 hours before someone can get back to you. We don’t want you waiting on us, or for your pet to be suffering while you wait on us!

Have a great day everyone!
