Good morning RRAC friends!

I want to make sure everyone knows that we will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25th. So we won’t be open again until Wednesday, May 27th.

Please check your pet’s medication and make sure you have enough until then incase you need a refill. Also consider if you will be hearing any fireworks in your neck of the woods. If your pets are like mine, you will need some medication for the noise! I’m not sure if there are any Memorial Day firework shows planned, but I know I never want to be caught off guard.

If you’ll be having a great time on the lake this weekend, remember your flea and tick medication! We’ve been diagnosing tick disease almost every day recently. Call us and we will have it ready for you to swing by and pick up. Remember to have your pet’s I.D tags on them at all times while you’re out and about, and their microchip info handy just in case.

Have a great week everyone! Happy Monday!

Hello Facebook friends!

Due to some current circumstances at the office, we will be CLOSED all day on Tuesdays until further notice. Please plan accordingly with medicine pick ups.

We will let you all know as SOON as we open back up for them again!

In the mean time, enjoy this adorable picture of Teeter Tot sleeping in the pocket of a team member ❤️ She demands to be held 24/7!

There’s a light at the end of the tunnel!

We will have a skeleton crew at the office tomorrow, so if you are needing medication or needing to be seen, please call in the morning so we can get you sorted.

We plan to be open normal hours Friday, and we will be so glad to see you all! Please be careful if you’re coming in. There’s still plenty of ice out causing hazardous driving conditions.

Hello again Facebook friends!

My goodness this has been quite an event we are all trekking through! I hope you are all doing well, and if you’re stuck at home, I hope you’re holding onto your sanity.

There is still so much ice in rural areas. Dr. Belt has continued to watch road progress and reports, and has decided that we will not be open again tomorrow for the safety of our staff and clients. We had hoped the sun would melt more ice today than it did.

HOWEVER- Dr. Belt will be going into the office for a short time in the morning to call and reschedule clients, and be available for anyone who might need to pick up medication.

THE OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED-

She will not be seeing any patients and will have no staff there with her. If you need refills, please go ahead and call the office and leave a message at any time today, and she will be returning calls and filling those in the morning. If you cannot be there in the morning, she will sort something out for you to pick it up.

Just so you all know, Karen and Piglet are safe and warm at Dr. Belt’s house. There are no animals at the clinic.

I will be updating here again tomorrow evening with a decision for our hours on Thursday. We hope to see you all soon, and hear all the adventures your pets have been having in this weather.

Until then, be safe and warm my friends.

Good afternoon Facebook friends!

We hope that you are all safe and warm, and have been enjoying some hot cocoa and movie marathons.

Dr. Belt has been monitoring the safety reports from the local police and weather, and after careful consideration, has decided that it isn’t safe for our team to return to the office tomorrow. Many of us are still trapped in icy neighborhoods, herself included. We are hopeful that we will be back on Wednesday, and I will update you all here tomorrow based on what is decided. In the meantime time stay safe, and we will be working hard to get everyone in who needs to be seen as soon as we return.

The sun will come out tomorrow!

01/23/2026

Hello everyone!

At this time, we are anticipating being closed Monday. If you plan to come to the office, please call ahead to see if we are here. As we monitor the road conditions, Dr. Belt will decide if we are safely able to come in on Monday. I will update here if that changes, or if it’s decided that it isn’t safe to return Tuesday.

Everyone be safe and enjoy the snow days!

01/21/2026

Good morning everyone!

With the snow and ice coming in Friday, I want to remind everyone to check your pets’ heart meds, insulin, etc and make sure you have enough to carry you through next week. We don’t know at this time what the roads will look like Monday forward.

Please don’t let your pet run out of medications! Call us and we can get it ready for you ahead of time, so you don’t have to wait on us.

Also a reminder to use plenty of straw for outdoor pet bedding for animals that can’t be brought in. DON’T USE towels and blankets. They absorb moisture and freeze solid. Make sure they have shelter from the wind as well. The temperature will be single digits. Outdoor animals will need a heat source provided, too.

Right now we are planning on being open all day Friday. If that changes I will update you all here, and you can feel free to call the office to ask before heading up to see us.

Everyone be safe! And grab a can of sweetened condensed milk for some snow ice cream before it’s all sold out ☺️

Good morning everyone! Just a reminder that we are closed on New Year’s Day but we will be here until 5pm tomorrow. Did you guys forget that people shoot fireworks on New Year’s Eve? Because I did! Clemmie reminded me last night 😂

If your pets need meds for firework anxiety- DON’T WAIT! We open at 7:30am and will close at 5pm. Call us early for refills and give yourself enough time to pick up meds. If you can’t make it before close we can arrange something for you.

Wishing you all a Happy and Peaceful New Year full of unexpected joys, and some slow days so you don’t forget to soak it all in.
