One more newsletter from the 2025 testing and training year, including messages from the outgoing executive board is in your inbox now!
A quick reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, January 17, 2026, the NCW NAVHDA Chapter will be holding our Annual Meeting beginning at 12:00pm at The Bar in Rothschild.
In addition to the nominations for President - TJ McKenzie and Vice President - Chris Trina, the following nominations have been announced.
Jamie Kuhn is running for a board position. Jamie fulfilled the open 1 year term board term for 2025 and with 24 years in NCW, a past president of the chapter, and many years serving on the board and training field, he believes he can continue to help the chapter and new board members with the transition.
The following nominations are made by TJ McKenzie and Chris Trina:
"In keeping with our goal of being open and honest TJ and I would like to nominate the following individuals as officers and board members:
Secretary: Deb Mella has graciously offer to fulfill the year remaining on Megan's term. Deb will bring experience to this role and has also offered to mentor someone to assume the duties next year.
Treasurer: Sheryle Tepp has agreed to be nominated. We feel Sheryle's detail orientation, management background, and years as a judge not only qualifies her for this role, but also makes her a valuable board member. Please see Sheryle's bio later in this post.
Board Member: Jon Yaeger has been a consistent volunteer for our chapter since he joined it. Jon has trained for and passed every level of testing. Finally, the two years Jon has served as a NAVHDA apprentice has not only given him a firm grasp of testing expectations, but has exposed him to a wide variety of chapters and how they are ran.
Board Member: Amanda Pascavis - anyone who is committed to training a blind dog is Definitely a NAVHDA person! On a more serious note Amanda is always there willing to both help and learn. Additionally, we feel Amanda will bring a different perspective to our board and help to insure we meet the diverse needs of all members."
