This is Dale's daughter, Savannah. For those that have not heard he is in the hospital right now and is unable to work. When he gets out he will tell y'all what is going on. My dad is just usually a very private person which is why this has been vague.

I have been trying to text everyone to figure out when y'all are due and addresses. There is an organization my dad is part of and they are getting a group of farriers together that are going to keep y'all up to date and not fall behind. I have been told they will take no profits and it will all be going to my dad. If I did not get in touch with you, please text my dads phone or my number 325-998-7980. All I will need from y'all is the number of horses to be done, shoes or trims, when y'all are scheduled for, or when he was supposed to come out to take care of you. And of course your address and a good number to contact. Bare with me as I attempt to get y'all appointments with one of the guys.

Thank y'all for being so patient in this time and all of the prayers you have sent up. They are working and he is feeling each and every one of them. All I ask is you keep praying.

There are times when it seems counterproductive to wear out a trench going from anvil to horse get that perfect fit. However, when you pick up the foot after 9 weeks and it still fits properly, it makes it worthwhile. BTW I nipped off a little over an inch off that hoof.

Project Sarge. Before and radiograph taken 28 Feb 2018. Long standing founder case when I started. Gas pocket had been penetrated from solar surface. By the time I had resected back to quasi normal hoof wall, there was about and inch and a half of wall on medial toe, 2 inches of lateral heel and little over I inch on medial heel. Made a heartbar and put a clip at the toe and lateral heel, snuck 1 nail in medial heel 2 lateral heel and 1 in the medial toe. Poured in pad behind COR and a lot of heavy prayer for 6 weeks. Gradually came out of it and today shod with toe clipped kegger. Fantastic owner who kept him clean and pumped full of biotin and glory to God for the healing.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my passing the CJF exam. Lots of people asked why I did it. Did I do it so I could raise my rates? Nope. Prices staying the same for awhile. Is it required? Nope. Anybody can watch a YouTube video go get a pair of nippers and rasp from Tractor Supply and hang out their shingle. What attaining CJF means to me is climbing another rung on the ladder that will not end. When a person thinks they know everything, they know nothing. The finest farriers I know who have all the initials at the end of their name yet will still fly halfway or more around the world for another clinic and a chance to keep learning. When I see a CJF farrier, I see a farrier who thinks good enough is never good enough and is fully committed to their craft and the horses/mules/donkeys they serve.
