Cornerstone Pet Hospital

Cornerstone Pet Hospital Cornerstone Pet Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital in Brownwood, TX, providing compassionate care for dogs, cats, and human-socialized exotic pets.

Our guiding principle is “caring for pets and the families that love them.” Caring for Pets and the Families That Love Them
At Cornerstone Pet Hospital, our mission is simple: to provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary care while treating every pet—and every family—with kindness and respect. Serving Brownwood, TX, Early, TX, and the surrounding Heart of Texas communities, we are proud to be

a trusted partner in your pet’s health and happiness. Cornerstone Pet Hospital has been part of the Brownwood community for many years, dedicated to helping pets live healthier, happier lives. In 2022, Dr. Rebecca Barnhart and Dr. Russell Kotzur, a husband-and-wife veterinary team, acquired the practice from Dr. Jeff Windham. After years of practicing in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and later in Abilene and Sweetwater, they felt drawn to Brownwood as the perfect place to build deeper roots for their family while continuing their lifelong passion for veterinary medicine. Together, Dr. Barnhart and Dr. Kotzur have created a family-friendly clinic culture centered on education, preventive care, and comfort. Their philosophy is that by caring for pet owners and giving them the tools they need, they can provide the best possible care for pets.

Did you know that many lost pets go missing during everyday routines at home?

A door left open a little too long, a damaged fence panel, a loose collar, or an unsecured leash can quickly turn into an unexpected escape. Summer activities, guests coming and going, and outdoor distractions can also increase the risk.

Taking a few minutes to check gates, fences, leashes, carriers, and ID tags can help reduce the chance of your pet slipping away.

Does your cat do this? 😂🐱

The post-poop zoomies are actually caused by the vagus nerve, which runs near the colon and triggers a sudden rush of energy.

So your cat is not crazy... or maybe they are a little. 😉
