These four tiny, but incredibly loud, kids moved in this weekend! Clockwise from the top is Hershey, Hairy, Opie, and Grinder. We’re making progress - today they didn’t run and scream when they saw me! Happy Easter from the farm!!

For the first time in over 5 years there are no animals on the farm. The other farmer and I will rest the earth and ourselves over the winter with new surprises in the Spring. Life is good.

Another sweet surprise early this morning! He is fresher than fresh. His mom, Peanut, has been the most skiddish sheep but this morning she was all about getting petted - I guess motherhood changes all of us.

Well now....we weren’t expecting any lambs this spring but someone has been busy! Quite the cute surprise this morning!

Well, after 3 years of hearing this farmer whine, the other farmer relented today and an orchard is going in! Pears, apples, and peaches for now.....but don’t tell the other farmer he’s not done yet 😉

And just like that, lambing is done! Monkey was the last with this little lady! We ended with 11 total, 6 girls and 5 boys. Sadly, Dot had a stillborn lamb but we were able to bond little orphan Annie to her so it became a winning situation! The majority of lambs will be available for a nominal fee and promise of good care.

Miss Daisy gave us two little ewes overnight. I was hoping for a plain white lamb or two from her but I really can’t complain about this cuteness! These are lambs 9 & 10 and 2 more mamas to go.

Lambs 5 & 6 were born the other night to my favorite ewe, Cotton. Chris has a cartoon theme going (so appropriate if you know him) so the big black/white boy is Bandit (Johnny Quest) and I named the little brown ewe Nutmeg. 4 more ewes to go - this is nerve wracking
but we love it at the same time!!
