Today we welcomed back this sweet pup for his very first office visit, the same little fighter our amazing LVT Selma helped bring into the world just two weeks ago. We’re so happy to see him thriving alongside his loving momma, and we can’t wait to watch him continue growing strong! 🐶💖🐾

A tiny chip can make a huge difference when it comes to finding your lost pet. Here’s how to keep them safe:

✅ Do have their chip checked every year - even if your pet never leaves home, accidents happen.
✅ Do update your contact info right away - a chip is only as good as the information linked to it.
✅ Do ask us to scan during routine visits - it’s quick, painless, and ensures the chip is working.
✅ Do microchip pets of all ages - puppies, kittens, and even older pets can benefit from a chip.
✅ Do pair the chip with an ID tag - extra layers of protection increase the chance of being reunited.

🚫 Don’t assume your pet doesn’t need one - lost pets include indoor-only cats and backyard dogs!
🚫 Don’t rely on looks alone to bring them home - without a chip or tag, your pet could be mistaken for a stray.
🚫 Don’t wait until they’re lost to chip them - prevention is easier than searching.
🚫 Don’t forget to register rescues to you - many rescues chip pets, but always confirm it’s registered to you.

Happy Anniversary to our boy Braxton! 🎉
It’s been one whole year since he was adopted and kickstarted his daycare and socialization journey with us here at Boca Chica! From day one, Braxton has held a special place in our hearts, we even created our daycare program just for him! 🐶💙
Over the past year, we’ve seen such an incredible transformation in his attitude and confidence, and we’re so proud of how far he’s come. We can’t wait to keep growing this friendship and making more memories together! ✨

This morning’s surgery turned into a true comeback story! ✨
Our amazing LVT Selma spent nearly 30 intense minutes working to bring this little pup into the world, and just when we thought it might be time to call it, we heard the tiniest squeak… and just like that, puppy said “I’m here!” 🐶🐾

Our Story

Boca Chica Animal Hospital is a full service small animal hospital. Dr. Kindra Phillip-Gulley, Dr. Diana Dominguez, Dr. Glenn Head, and Dr. Noe Cruz are working to service the needs of the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. We provide extensive surgery procedures, dental procedures, radiography, ultrasound, laparoscopic, hospitalization, and pet boarding. The hospital has made available a full line of prescription pet food for dogs and cats. As well as flea, tick and parasite treatments and preventative medications.
