🐾 Our Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Group Class is officially underway! 🐾

What an incredible turnout for our AKC Canine Good Citizen class! We intentionally brought everyone together for this first session so we could evaluate each dog and handler team individually at one time. The enthusiasm, dedication, and progress we saw were outstanding!

Based on those evaluations, the group has now been divided into three smaller classes that will continue working toward earning their CGC certification. We are excited to help each team build the skills and confidence needed to achieve this important milestone.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made our first CGC class such a success. We can’t wait to see what these teams accomplish next.

Nova has officially completed her 2-Week Basic Obedience & Leash Training Program at Total K9 Concepts!

Over the last two weeks, she worked hard on her obedience skills and leash manners, making great progress along the way. We’re proud of all her hard work and excited to see her continue to shine at home.

🐾 NEW CLASS ANNOUNCEMENT 🐾

We are excited to officially launch our brand new Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Group Class at Total K9 Concepts!

This program is designed for owners who want to build better obedience, confidence, manners, and real-world reliability with their dogs while working toward the AKC Canine Good Citizen standard.

📅 FIRST INTRODUCTORY CLASS:
Saturday, May 30th
🕐 1:00 PM
⏰ Approximately 1 hour long
💵 $40 per dog/per session

This first class will include:
• Overview of the CGC curriculum
• Evaluation and placement into separate working groups
• Initial training exercises and instruction
• Q&A and expectations moving forward

We are limiting the introductory class to a MAXIMUM of 14 dogs, which will then be divided into two smaller classes moving forward to ensure quality instruction and individualized attention.

Whether your goal is better manners at home, improved public behavior, or earning your CGC title, this class is going to be a great foundation for both dogs and handlers alike.

Spots will fill quickly, so please RSVP as soon as possible! 🐾

Training dogs is important… but helping kids build confidence, patience, and leadership right alongside them? That’s the really special part. 🐾

Today’s video is of Jason helping Harper work with Precious on her “sit,” and both of them absolutely crushed it. Precious did amazing, and Harper stepped up like a natural handler.

Watching these moments come together is what it’s all about at Total K9 Concepts. Good dogs are trained. Great relationships are built. ❤️

🐾 Thinking about starting an Adult Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Group Class! 🐾

We’ve had quite a few people asking about more advanced obedience opportunities, so we wanted to see who might be interested in an adult group class focused on earning a American Kennel Club title!

This class would focus on:
• Polite leash manners
• Basic obedience around distractions
• Calm social behavior
• Reliable sit/down/stay commands
• Proper greetings with people and dogs
• Real-world manners and confidence building

Whether you’re looking to sharpen up your dog’s obedience, work toward CGC testing, or just have a well-mannered companion out in public, this could be a really fun class! 🐕

What an incredible day at Paws in the Plaza! 🐾❤️

We cannot thank everyone enough for coming out today and making this event such a huge success. Because of this amazing community, we were able to raise money for the Retired Police K9 Foundation, help TWO amazing dogs find their forever homes, and send local Animal Services agencies home with much-needed donations and supplies.

Seeing Lark and Smokey get adopted was truly the heartbeat behind putting this entire event together. Watching them leave with families of their own made every bit of hard work completely worth it. 🐶🏡

We also want to thank every vendor, volunteer, rescue, sponsor, and supporter who came out and shared in a cause we all love so much… dogs. Today was about community, new friendships, and making a difference together — and y’all showed up in the best way possible.

From all of us at Total K9 Concepts and The Pack Yard … thank you for believing in what we’re building. This was special. ❤️

Countdown!!! Saturday is coming upon us fast so throwing out a few housekeeping items! 😊

We will begin setting up by 7:30am on Saturday. All VENDORS and volunteers can report to the Total K9 Concepts tent next to the 20x30 pup tent for further instructions on setting up and getting this party started! If anyone has any specific questions that need to be answered ahead of the event, please message me privately!

We are so excited and looking forward to seeing everyone out there!
