You might have seen our recent post about our staff and volunteers training with Protecting Paws For Life. Today, weโ€™re excited to introduce two very special boys currently in our Project Pup program: Spike and Mike!

The shelter environment can be overwhelming, and Mike is feeling the stress. While he has formed a special bond with one of our team members, he struggles with trusting new handlers. Mike is a sweet, sensitive soul with higher anxiety who needs patience, consistency, and a calm environment to build up his trust and confidence.

๐Ÿพ ๐—ฆ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐—ธ๐—ฒ
Spike is a fun, energetic boy who is eager to learn! He can be a bit jumpy and mouthy when he gets excitedโ€”all in good fun, but we're working on his manners. His main goal right now is learning to channel that big energy into focus and patience. He loves engaging with his handlers, thrives on interaction, and is super eager to please.
