🔥 Meet Bonfire Bob 🔥

Bonfire Bob sounds like the kind of guy who chops his own firewood, tells legendary camping stories, and can start a campfire with nothing but two sticks and determination.

The truth?

A plastic bag blows across the room and Bob is suddenly reconsidering all of his life choices.

This handsome black-and-white gentleman is almost 2 years old, neutered, and incredibly sweet. While his name suggests rugged wilderness survival, Bob's actual hobbies include quietly observing from a safe distance, finding cozy hiding spots, and taking his time deciding whether new people can be trusted.

Once he knows he's safe, though, Bob's warm personality starts to shine through—just like a bonfire that takes a little extra effort to get going.

Bob is looking for a patient home that understands that some cats need time to settle in. Give him a little space, a little kindness, and a little patience, and you'll discover the wonderful cat hiding beneath that cautious exterior.

Every bonfire starts with a single spark. Bob is just waiting for someone to help him find his.

We have just TWO puppies left who are currently available for adoption! Both are boys.

Pantalone Dell'arte (black and white) is 2.5 months old and just as sweet as can be! He wants attention, and he wants it all for himself! 😊

Sans (tan and white) is almost 4 months old and is full of puppy energy! Zoomies and toys are his best friend. He wants to play tug and chase toys with anyone who will join him! 🥏⚾

✅Both boys are neutered, microchipped, dewormed, started on monthly flea and heartworm prevention, and up to date with age appropriate vaccines.
✅Without a DNA test, ee don't know breeds, so both are considered mixed breeds!
✅ Both pups will grow up to be between 45-60 pounds when full grown

These cuties are located in our conference room at the shelter. We are open daily 11am-4pm for adoptions. Please stop by and fall in love!

UPDATE!! Simon was found!!

He had quite an adventure and was found by a Good Samaritan about a 1/2 mile from home!

He is home safe, doing well, and getting lots of loves and snuggles by his family. 😽

Thank you to each and every one of you who helped look for him, and who shared this post so he could be located. And thank you to the family who found him and kept him safe until his family could be contacted.

🐾❤️ Alumni Update: Leia ❤️🐾

Some stories stay with us forever, and Leia's is certainly one of them.

After spending years waiting for a family, experiencing an adoption that didn't last, and then returning to shelter life for nearly another year, Leia finally found the home she deserved. 🖤

Her adopter, Russell, recently shared a beautiful letter with us describing Leia's first few weeks at home. While she spent her first days tucked safely under the bed, she's slowly begun to trust, explore, and make herself right at home. These days, she sleeps beside her person, enjoys morning butt pats, and keeps watch from her favorite window perch. ☀️🐱

One of our favorite lines from Russell's letter:

"Please know she is safe, deeply loved, and exactly where she belongs."

There is no greater gift than knowing a pet who waited so long has finally found peace, comfort, and unconditional love. Stories like Leia's remind us why we never give up on our long-term residents.

Thank you, Russell, for opening your heart and home to this special girl and for loving her exactly as she is. ❤️

We got puppies coming out of our ears!! 🤪🐶

We have boys, we have girls...
We have white, black, brindle, and tan...

All puppies range in age from 11-15 weeks, and full sized weights range from 45-70 pounds.

All are spayed/neutered, dewormed, started on monthly flea and heartworm preventions, microchipped, and up to date with age appropriate vaccinations!

🐕 Now is the time to find your new best friend! 🐕

We are open from 11am-4pm daily for adoptions (closed ONLY on Wednesdays).

All adoptions are done on-site, so if you are interested please stop by!

It looks like Asphalt Angela is settling into her new home beautifully! 🏡✨

Her new family reports that she's already so loved, and honestly, we can see why. ❤️

The only thing left to decide? A new name! 🤔🐶 We can't wait to find out what lucky name this sweet girl will be sporting as she starts her next chapter.

Thank you to her wonderful family for sharing this update with us. Seeing our former shelter pets happy, safe, and loved is the best part of what we do. 🐾💕

🐾❤️ Alumni Update ❤️🐾

Talk about a happy ending... and then another happy ending! 🥹✨

Our former residents "Hamburger Bob" and "Chief Pivot Officer" are now known as Chernobyl and Lenny, and it sounds like they are absolutely thriving in their forever home! 🏡💕

Their family tells us that the boys get along wonderfully, with playful Lenny keeping Chernobyl feeling young. 🎾🐱 They spend their days playing together and their nights curled up side-by-side as the sweetest little snuggle bugs. 🥰🐾

But wait... there's more! 😻

A routine vet visit for Lenny's vaccines led to an unexpected addition to the family. They met a cat from Ziggy's Legacy and instantly fell in love. Long story short, the boys are getting a sister! 🎉🐱💖

We couldn't be happier to hear that this family is growing and that our former shelter cats are living the lives they deserve—filled with love, friendship, cuddles, and a few surprise siblings along the way. ❤️

Congratulations to this beautiful family, and thank you for sharing your update with us! We love watching your happily-ever-after continue to unfold. 🐾✨
