All of the rabbits have finally found new homes! Thank you to everyone who has supported The Purple Rabbitry over the years. We are officially closing our Rabbitry doors.

I have decided to keep this page open for now; it will see a rebrand into a homestead page for our farm.

Purple Rabbit is temporality closing its doors. This decision has been deeply considered over the last few months, however, due to moving, upcoming projects (building a new house) and a new business being started, I have decided it is time to rehome some of my breeders. If anyone is interested in a full-bred Lilac, I have a few currently available!
Thank you everyone who has supported Purple Rabbit over the years and have gotten a rabbit or two from me. You are amazing and I hope you continue to love your Lilacs!

I have not been posting updates on the litters, however I have some news to share!
Jill has given me a surprise litter of 5.
Born 1/31/2022
She was separated from the buck before she had her last litter; however rabbits have been known to breed through cages, and have also been known to have two pregnancies at once.
Which of these occurred, I do not know. However they all look healthy and fed, as well as her older litter who is now 1 month old.

Spotlight hour for my oldest doe, Morgan!
Morgan is the last rabbit I have from my original Lilac trio. She is my oldest and has earned her retirement place here with me. Now Morgan acts as the peacekeeper between all the younger does. She also helps to watch over nests and babysits the little ones.
