TERMS OF SERVICE
Messenger is the preferred method of communication, and messages are generally responded to within 24 hours Monday-Thursday. PayPal is the preferred method of payment. Go to paypal.me/AmericanGecko. Payment sent via PayPal should be through the βgoods and servicesβ link. Once you choose your gecko, just PM us your address, email and phone number and we will send y
ou the invoice with a link to pay via PayPal. Purchases made thru PayPal protects both of us.
2. All sales are final and should you wish to cancel a payment plan, 25% is non-refundable. If you would like to switch from one gecko that you've already put a down payment on, I reserve the right to retain the deposit for that animal as it is technically an order cancellation. This would then be considered a restocking fee as there are adjustments to be made online and to cover any inconvenience caused by loss of sale while the gecko was held.
3. Please do not place an order if you are not 100% sure you can commit to the purchase of the animal(s). I will hold an animal only upon receiving a non-refundable down payment of 25% (amount will be rounded up to the nearest dollar) or $100 (whichever is more), with completion of payment within four weeks. I must be aware of your plans (and agree to them) prior to payment. (note: we will work with you if you have a large purchase and need to extend the time. Just communicate and as long as we agree that is fine.)
5. No gecko will be put on hold status until down payment is received and geckos are sold on a first come, first served basis. For purchases over $400 a payment plan is acceptable. We will work out specific details via messenger but we will require the payments to be made on the agreed upon schedule to continue the hold, in addition to a $15/month holding fee to cover food and care expenses. (note: if geckos are paid for within 1 month, we usually do not charge a holding fee.) Payment Plans are paying the agreed upon down payment then making equal payments on a weekly or bi-weekly basis via PayPal until the balance is paid. We do not charge interest and there are no holding fees if balance is paid in one month. Failure to keep up with the payment plan or to not communicate with us for two or more weeks after missing a payment (without prior approval) will forfeit a hold and the gecko/s will be re-listed for sale. In such a case, the non-refundable 25% deposit and applicable care holding fee/s will be kept and the remaining funds paid will be offered as a store credit to be used within one year of invoice date. SHIPPING TERMS:
We ship only Priority Overnight via FedEx and our reptile shipping company with Live Arrival Guaranteed Insurance. We follow all guidelines for packing, temperature parameters and monitor temporary halts on shipping live animals with insurance due to holiday surge. When insurance is available and temperatures are safe on both ends, we will communicate with you and ship out on a Tuesday or Wednesday for arrival the next morning. We only ship out on those days so if there was a delay, the gecko should be able to be picked up and not stuck at a facility for the weekend.
6. The gecko/s will not be shipped until payment has been completed, arrangements for shipping have been agreed upon by both parties and shipping temperatures are within range (40-85 degrees Fahrenheit) for all locations. Feel free to message us with questions before you make your purchase.
7. Due to current conditions and for the safety of the geckos, we will only ship to a Fed Ex facility for you to pick up. This has always been our preferred method of shipping. This is what is best for the gecko as it stays in a controlled environment and is not bouncing around on a delivery truck in the elements. Final Notes:
When you purchase a gecko, you are making a commitment to the gecko and to us in good faith that you have thought this thru and are serious in that regard. This goes for any time a purchase is made, but especially when we are having a sale. Because of this, all sales purchased during a sale will be final. There will be no refunds. We spend money on our advertising and put a lot of work and effort into running an effective and professional sales event. If you purchase a gecko, they come off our sales and are no longer advertised as being available. We cannot recapture the people who were interested but we had to tell them the gecko has been sold, and then they go and buy another gecko elsewhere.
